We hope this communique finds you well.

The house committee is aware of Mr Bongisizwe ''bharaza'' Sibeko's behavior towards our
constituency and we’d like to clarify few things. Please keep in mind that neither the residence
manager nor the house committee were aware of such communication. Mr Sibeko made the
decision to write his own communication to the student, outlining his own objectives. We are
deeply dismayed by his actions and the harm they have done to House Committee's reputation.

We've noted that he even went so far as to discuss Siyabonga Mahlangu's disciplinary hearing,
which is incorrect information. Siyabonga Mahlangu is the House Committee secretary, which
means he conveys the House Committee's majority decisions to the student body. He alluded that
“no one is above the Residence Policy”, yet he’s the one showing intentions to abuse the same
policy by declaring himself as the "Head of Discipline," which is also incorrect. He further
emphasized the significance of understanding Residence Policy, yet it appears that he failed to
practice what he preached. We advise our deputy chairperson not to confuse the Residence
Policy and SRC Constitution. However, the Residence Manager, in collaboration with the
necessary stakeholders, shall be in charge of dealing with such behavior.

constituents. We will continue to give updates through the secretary's office, as well as the
results of Mr Diago's appeal procedure as stated by the communique issued out by the Residence
