The two pitures show how the coastal town called Manarola has changed from

1995 to the present.

Overall, the coastal town has undergone a number of dramatic changes, the most
important of which is the transformation of public park into holiday homes
In the north-west, the housing area was extended, and in the south of the housing
it, the sports facilities have been replaced by restaurants. In the centre of the city,
trees have been chopped down to make way for holiday homes, while in the
south west of the public park, hotels have been upgraded to two story- buidings.
In addition, in the north of the town, the farmland has been demolished and
converted into golf course and tennis court. There used to be a open space in the
south east of the public park, but it has been redeveloped replaced by a car park.
