Instructions:

1. You are tasked to create a series of image macro memes representing the topics discussed in
this period.
2. Before the image macros must be made, you are first tasked to watch the video embedded in
the "Performance Task" page in 03 The Various Contemporary Issues that Bolstered Popular
Culture.
3. This Performance Task requires you to create and compile five (5) different image macro
memes to reflect your insights regarding the issue(s) presented in the embedded video. You can
use any image editing software or app to do this.
4. You will then compile these memes in an MS Word document and provide a one-sentence
explanation to each meme explaining its content. You will then submit it in the dropbox provided
using the file name format: MT_PT_SURNAME GIVEN NAME.docx

“Wala ka ng pera, kinain pa load mo”

Ang Pangarap Kong Holdup" is a Filipino comedy film directed by Marius Talampas, released in
2018. The film follows the story of three small-time criminals named Tirso (Pepe Herrera),
Jepoy (Jerald Napoles), and Kahoy (Paolo Contis), who dream of pulling off a big-time heist to
make a name for themselves and earn some cash.

1. Remington and Curse of Zombadings


“Yung tinawag kang bakla pero hindi nila alam na mapagpatol ka”

Remington and the Curse of Zombadings" is a Filipino horror-comedy film directed by Jade
Castro, which was released in 2011. The story revolves around a young man named Remington
(played by Martin Escudero), who is cursed to turn into a gay man every time he utters a
homophobic remark. The curse was placed on him by a group of gay men who he and his friends
had bullied and humiliated when they were younger.

3. Magnifico
“ Hindi man ako matalino”

“Mabait naman ako”

"Magnifico" is a Filipino drama film directed by Maryo J. de los Reyes and released in 2003.
The film tells the story of a young boy named Magnifico (Jiro Manio), who lives with his
impoverished family in a small town in the Philippines.
4. Bwakaw
“Yung hindi mo alam gagawin sa aso pag wala ka na “

"Bwakaw" is a Filipino drama film directed by Jun Robles Lana and released in 2012. The movie
tells the story of Rene (Eddie Garcia), an elderly gay man who lives alone with his dog Bwakaw
in a small town in the Philippines.

5. Temptation Island
“Yung wala ka ng makain, at least maganda ka pa din”

Temptation Island" is a Filipino romantic comedy film directed by Chris Martinez and released
in 2011. The movie follows the story of five beauty pageant contestants and their gay stylist who
are stranded on a deserted island after their private plane crashes.
