Scenario of drill:
Fire in ”Engine Funnel”.
Sequence of event:
16:00 Fire alarm sounded / PA announced about location of fire ‘Engine Funnel’.
16:02 All crew mustered at Muster station. Head count. Crew completed.
16:05 Duties of crewmembers checked/explained. Instructions given about fireman’s outfit, radio hands-free
device and how to use it, correct instructions how to done fireman’s outfit and BA set, how to check BA set.
16:10 The scenario of the drill was explained.
16:12 Start the exercise drill.
16:13Ventilation stopped / fire flaps closed / medical team standby
16:14 Fire hoses prepared
16:15 Emergency fire pump running / start boundary cooling
16:17 Squad #2 prepared fireman outfits and ready / standby / Pressure BA sets: 300 bar; 300 bar
16:18 Squad #1 prepared fireman outfits and ready / standby / Pressure BA sets: 300 bar; 300 bar
16:20 Squad #2 proceeds inside the laundry room.
16:21 Squad #2 reported: fire from laundry machine.
16:23 Squad #2 reported that the fire was extinguished.

Results of drill:
All the crew was familiar with their responsibilities and duties during the fire drill. Good result.
Lessons learned:
1. All the crew members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
2. The readiness of all crew members in case of fire is very good.
3. The fireman team is familiar with the donning procedure of the BA set / fireman outfit.
4. Fireman team is familiar with the procedure of connecting the radio helmet to the designated UHF radios
and the correct way of communicating.
Suggested improvements or attention / focusing points for future drills:
- Make sure all crew members are familiar with donning the BA set / fireman outfit. The fireman team, in
particular, must be as quick as possible.
