Topic Basic dribbling in Basketball

Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of body shapes and body actions in
preparation for various movement activities in dribbling basketball.

Direction: The teacher will show a picture related to the topic.


The student will analyse the picture shown and observe. After
observing and analysing the teacher will ask the student what
they observe and how to photo relate to the topic.

Topic: Basic dribbling in Basketball

Dribbling is one of the basic skills in playing basketball, one


of the most enjoyable and interesting sports of active children
nowadays.

Dribbling Basic steps

(1) Crouch Down low by bending your knees and lowering


the hips.
(a) In order to control the ball and to get the basic
dribbling stance. Lower yourself, pushing the back
end out behind you make sure your stance feel
stable.

(2) Raise your head and chest up to look straight ahead.


(a) As you lean forward, stick your chest out a little to
prevent yourself from feeling tempted to look at the
ball and keep your gazed focused to the basket.

(3) Bounce the ball in the place with the pads of your
fingers.
(a) Dribble the ball with your dominant hand and try to
bounce the ball next to your knee. To bounce the
ball keep your fingers spread to maximize the
amount of control you had.
(4) Use enough force to bounce the ball at knee height.
(a) Bouncing up to high gives defenders a chance to
steal it before you cross it between your legs.

After the discussion, the teacher will divide the class. Into two
groups, and the students will form a line. The he teacher will
instruct the student that they need to dribble the ball from
their line to the other line that the teacher made. The first
group finished the task. Must raise their ball.

Direction: In a 1 whole clean bond paper, write one sport
you really love playing. Define the sport that you picked and
paste one picture of it, you can paste your picture while
playing on it or you can research pictures in google.
Moreover, below the picture write at least 3 sentences that
states why do you love that sports then you will going to
share that in class next meeting.
