Introduction :

Language is part of being human as it is the primary means of communication used by people around
the world. The languages that exist today are testaments to the nature of language itself. Adi (2018)
states that all humans, societies and nations in the world have their own language. Since language is a
means of communication, it can be said that without languages there would be no human beings. Adi's
explanation made it clear that humans and language cannot be separated. Because where there is a
society there is a language that is used to communicate.

When it comes to language and society, there are studies that inform it specifically. It's called
Sociolinguistics. Sociolinguistics is a branch of macro linguistics that studies how language is used in
multilingual speech term communities and the relationship between society and language (Wibowo et
al., 2017). It is impossible to separate the relationship between language and society. Sociolinguistics
is the study of the interaction between society and language. The goal of sociolinguistics is to better
understand language's structure and how it serves as a tool for communication. The goal of sociology
of language is to do the same thing by attempting to understand how social structure can be better
understood via the study of language (Sutrismi, 2014). The study of sociolinguistics focuses on how
different social groups use language, which indicates that an object could be the one of object
language learning from another language.

Bilinguals have a choice in how they utilize language since they can choose to convey meaning,
according to Johansson (2013) in (Hanafiah et al., 2020). Bilingual people are those who are able to
communicate in two different languages. The primary cause of code-mixing is bilingualism. The
phenomenon of codemixing is caused by the interaction between languages (Hanafiah et al., 2020).
Other influences on code-mixing include cultural influences, societal influences, and individual
influences (Syam, Sangkala, & Syarif, 2018). (Hanafiah et al., 2020).

Code-mixing are part of the study of bilingualism in sociolinguistics which have become a very
popular language, The main qualities in code-mixing are informal conditions and relaxed situation as
a state by (Saputro, 2013) in discourse. Code-mixing is a research that teaches about the
understanding of mix two codes or more languages that speakers or authors in discourse (Wulandari,
2016). The background of people, including their culture, social network, level of education, and
economic situation, are several of the aspects that influence how they blend these codes. Due of
bilingualism, there is code-mixing. In the middle of multilingual communities, it frequently occurs.
According to Mohammed et al. (2015), code-mixing is the use of words or phrases from two different
linguistic systems in the same sentence. Everyday activities including interviews, speeches,
conversations, seminars, and much more include code-mixing.

Inner code-mixing, outer code-mixing, and hybrid code-mixing are the three different types of code-
mixing. Inner code-mixing, as defined by Suandi (2014, p. 140–141), is a type of code-mixing that
incorporates related parts from the original language. Outer code-mixing is a type of code-mixing that
incorporates aspects of the source language. The original language (regional languages) and foreign
languages have been assimilated by foreign language elements and hybrid code-mixing (perhaps
clauses or sentences). Suandi (2014, p. 143–146) also identified the factors that contribute to code-
mixing, including the following: 1) limited use of codes; 2) use of more widely used terms; 3) speaker
and personal speaker; 4) talking partner; 5) place of residence and time of the discussion; 6) talk
mode; 7) topics; 8) function and purpose; 9) variety and level of speech; 10) the presence of a third
speaker; 11) keynote speaker; 12) to evoke a sense.

One talent artist who always uses code-mixing is Cinta Laura . He is a talented Indonesian singer and
artist. Not only on television, he also has his own YouTube channel account. Cinta Laura always
speaks in two languages, Indonesian and English at the same time. The reason she always speaks in
two languages is because related to her parent, educational background, and environment. The
Researchers chooses one of video vlogs on his youtube channel with entitled Trip to Korea-Part 1 to
become the source or object in this research. . Studying the various code-mixing types is quite
intriguing. It is for this reason that scholars are interested in studying it.
METHOD

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative study. According to Sukmadinata
(2011):Qualitative descriptive research cited in (Saraswati, 2020) describes existing phenomena in
both nature and human engineers, paying more attention to the properties, qualities, and connections
between activities. The subject of this research is from Cinta Laura’s vlog video with entitled “Trip to
Korea-Part 1” and this qualitative descriptive study aims to explain the forms of code-mixing
insertion on her video vlogs. The data collection techniques used to collect data in this study are
nonverbal listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Sudaryanto (2015, p. 204) states that non-
dialogue listening techniques are data collection techniques that allow researchers to be freed from
research dialogues and conversations. Her technique of non-dialogue listening is carried out by
observing language usage in her YouTube videos of Cinta Laura, which includes elements of her
mixing code as research data. Observation was followed by a note-taking technique of recording her
speech on her YouTube video of Cinta Laura using code mixing.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

RESULT

Inward code-mixing is sourced from the local native language used and all variations of the language.
At the same time, outward code-mixing comes from a foreign language that is not the speaker's
primary language. In this research, there is an outer code-mixing. In the external code-mixing, there
are two foreign languages, namely English and Indonesian.

According to Suwito (1985, p. 78-80), based on the linguistic elements involved in code-mixing, it
can be divided into inserting elements in the form of words, inserting elements in phrases, and
inserting elements in the form of clauses. The data found in the outer code mixing are in the form
three verbs, four noun, two phrase. and the researcher did not found idiom, baster and word repetation
in Cinta Laura’s vlog youtube video with entitled “trip to Korea-Part 1”.

CONCLUSION

affecting the meaning of a statement. In this research,Cinta Laura used code mixing in her video with
