BACKGROUND
Conflicts exist in all spheres of life. These happen at school level, family level,
community level, national and the world at large. Conflicts result in wars, deaths,
injuries and displacement of people.

The CALA, has two separate parts, Part A and Part B. You need to complete both
parts
Part A
Research the causes of conflicts and ways of preventing conflicts in your school.
In your research include interviews, ICT tools, questionnaire on the ways of
managing conflicts at your school .Make recordings of your findings on ways of
managing conflicts at your school.
Part B
Using the information in Part A make an illustration of preventive measures of
conflicts that you have identified. Write notes on your research.

HOW YOU WILL ASSESED


To assess your presentation, facilitator will consider your research materials and
explanations about your illustrations.
Achievement standards specific to this CALA will be provided so that you are
aware of the assessment criteria

Conflicts exist in all spheres of life. These happen at school level, family level,
community level, national and the world at large. Conflicts result in wars, deaths,
injuring and displacement of people.
CALA DESCRIPTION to make you aware of causes of conflicts and informed
knowledge and how to manage them.
-Prepare questions that you are going to use in conflicts that affects leaners at
school and how they can be managed or prevented (10)
-Carry out interviews with teachers, parents, and peers (5)
- Record information and make notes on the responses given (5)
-presentation research on the presentative measures on one of the conflicts you
have identified. (20)
-write notes and explain your presentation (5)
-submit your research and notes for assessment. (5)
