Part 1.

In my opinion there are some interesting options to discuss about. But, if I have to choose, I
would say that government grants is an essential option for those who can not afford to study
this career. Giving grants would be like a buzz for them and it would keep them motivated to
study and have goals.

And what about advertising? I totally think it is a perfect idea to promote this career. Maybe it
sounds boring at first, you know, not everybody is interested in science because they think that
maybe is so difficult or boring. This is why I think that advertising is essential for those people,
but it depends on how you promote it that from my point of view it needs to be motivational
to encourage them to study it or maybe promoting it with bit sense of humor to make them
feel more confident.

However, I think that appart from what I said before, the information needs to be clear to help
them to make a quick decision and having a good-looking design would help it to be more
atractive for people.

Another interesting option would be giving talks from university students encouraging people,
but I think this option is not as useful as the other ones just because I think it´s so boring for
students to keep listening to so much boring information.

In my opinion, I totally disagree with this person and I´m going to explain my reasons.

Firstly, I would say that it attracted so many people, in fact, there was a person who was
dedicated to count each person and he told me that there were nearly 300 people. So, in my
opinion I think that it attracted a lot of people taking into account that it´s a local festival.

It was marvellous because there were a lot of workshops and exhibitions. Even some local
musicians offer themselves to performance for free!

I agree that people mainly were young ones. But it has an explanation and that was because
they were more interested in the art exhibitions that adults. That surprised me!

In addition the musicians were more atractive for younger people that for adults. But,
however, I think that the festival was made for people for all ages and I´m sure most of them
enjoyed their time that day.

We had plenty of food and drinks, even there was a souvenir near the festival to buy some
ítems which I bought to have a memory of that day.

So, answering the question if it was a waste of council money, for sure it wasn´t. In fact, we
only needed to pay 15 euros for the entrance plus food or drinks although this was optional.

I totally recommend to have a go next year if you want to have a special day out of the
routine!
