At the end of the lesson that students will be able to:
 Define concrete nouns and abstract nouns.
 Identify concrete and abstract nouns in sentences.
 Use concrete and abstract nouns in a sentence.

III. Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activities:
Prayer
Greetings
Reminders
Motivation:
 Play “4 pics one word”
 Let the students guess the pictures shown on the screen.
 Ask some questions about the pictures.

Presentation:

 What do we call these two types of nouns?
 Concrete nouns are nouns that can be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt.
Ex.: cat, bird, stone, water
Abstract Nouns refers to concepts, ideas, experiences, traits, feelings that cannot be
seen, heard, tasted, smelled, or touched. Ex.: peace, contentment, happiness

B. Activity proper:

Activity 1:
 Pick out the concrete nouns in each sentence.
 Look for the abstract noun in each sentence.

Activity 2:
1. Tell whether the underlined word is an abstract or concrete noun.
2. They will raise their hand to answer.
3. The student who will raise their hand first and get the right answer
will have the points.
