Meeting Agenda: To Conduct Numeracy and Literacy Pre-Assessment
Discussion: Discussed the importance of conducting pre-
assessments to gauge students' numeracy and literacy skills.
Explored assessment tools and strategies. Agreed to administer pre-
assessments within two weeks.

To Conduct Psychosocial Support Activities


Discussion: Discussed the importance of providing psychosocial
support activities for both teachers and learners. Explored various
activities, such as mindfulness exercises, team-building exercises,
and emotional well-being workshops. Agreed to implement a range of
activities to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

To Discuss LIS Management


Discussion: Explored the Learning Management System (LIS) 's
current state and effectiveness. Raised concerns about user
interface, content organization, and parent/guardian access.
Decided to conduct a comprehensive review and consider potential
enhancements.

Open Issues: Determining how to effectively communicate pre-assessment results


to parents/guardians and involve them in supporting their child's
learning.

Identifying strategies to ensure the sustainability and long-term


integration of psychosocial support activities within the school's
curriculum and culture.

The focus group discussion commenced with an in-depth
exploration of effective teaching strategies and pedagogical
approaches suitable for elementary students. Participants shared
their experiences and best practices in engaging and motivating
students in the classroom. Various strategies, such as active
learning, cooperative learning, and project-based learning, were
discussed and deemed effective in fostering student participation
and a deep understanding of the subject matter. The importance of
incorporating differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning
needs was also emphasized.

Moreover, the discussion shifted towards professional development


opportunities for elementary teachers. Participants shared insights
on attending workshops, conferences, and online courses to
enhance their teaching practices and stay updated with the latest
educational trends. Strategies for implementing a continuous
professional development plan were discussed, including the
establishment of a mentoring program, peer observations, and
collaborative learning communities. Participants highlighted the

The focus group discussion commenced with a thorough exploration
of effective classroom management techniques to create a positive
and conducive learning environment. Participants shared their
experiences and strategies for establishing clear expectations, rules,
and routines in the classroom. The importance of building positive
relationships with students, fostering a sense of belonging, and
promoting a respectful and inclusive classroom culture was
emphasized.

Furthermore, participants discussed various strategies for managing


student behavior and addressing disciplinary issues. They shared
insights on proactive approaches such as implementing positive
reinforcement, utilizing effective communication, and modeling
appropriate behavior. The importance of consistency, fairness, and
empathy in discipline practices was underscored, as well as the need
to involve students in developing class rules and consequences.

Participants also discussed the significance of preventive measures,


such as creating engaging and meaningful lessons, providing
opportunities for student choice and autonomy, and implementing
effective transitions and classroom procedures. The use of
restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies as alternatives
to punitive measures was explored, highlighting their positive impact
on student behavior and relationships.

Meeting Topic: Curriculum Enhancement and Integration, and Post-Assessment of
Literacy and Numeracy Skills for the Learners
The focus group discussion began with a thorough exploration of
curriculum enhancement and integration strategies. Participants

integrate cross-curricular themes or projects. They discussed the
importance of making learning experiences relevant, engaging, and
connected across subject areas. Examples of integration techniques
included incorporating technology, arts, physical activities, and real-
world applications into lessons.

Moreover, the discussion shifted towards the post-assessment of


literacy and numeracy skills. Participants shared experiences and
strategies for assessing student learning after instruction to
measure progress and inform future instructional planning. They
discussed various assessment methods and tools, including both
formative and summative assessments. The importance of analyzing
assessment data to identify areas of strength and areas that require
further support was highlighted.

Participants emphasized the significance of aligning assessments


with learning objectives, utilizing a variety of assessment strategies,
and providing timely and constructive feedback to students. They
also discussed the benefits of involving students in self-assessment
and reflection to foster metacognitive skills and ownership of their
learning journey.
