Terminal Objective:
At the end of the training, the participants are expected to
Improve a classroom – based assessment tools that will be beneficial for
teachers.
Enabling Objectives;
At the end of the session, the participants are expected to equip
Objectives with basic skills on crafting assessment tools. Specifically, the training
aims to:

1. . Identify what is classroom-based assessment;


2. demonstrate knowledge on how to develop tools for classroom-
based assessments;
3. recognize steps in planning the tests;
4. classify ways on selecting and constructing tests items and tasks.

Executive Summary May 24, 2024

The session began with a short opening program; Prayer and National
anthem. This was immediately followed by an overview of the
importance and relevance of Developing Tools for Classroom – Based
Assessment in the context of education, highlighting its potential impact
on teaching and learning outcomes.

Participants engaged in interactive workshops and practical


demonstrations, where they had hands-on experience applying theoretical
concepts. This included group activity in creating sample assessments.

Real-life case studies relevant to the school environment were presented,


allowing participants to analyze and discuss practical scenarios and
potential solutions.

An open forum for questions and discussion encouraged active


participation, enabling participants to clarify doubts, share experiences,
and exchange ideas with the facilitator and fellow attendees.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many


expressing appreciation for the interactive nature of the training and its
relevance to their professional growth. Suggestions for improvement
included incorporating more hands-on activities and providing follow-up
resources for further learning.

The training session successfully achieved its objectives of enhancing the


skills and knowledge of participants. Moving forward, continued support
and opportunities for professional development will be essential in
sustaining momentum and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
within the school community.
