The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) student organization at QNHS school held elections for the 2022-2023 school year. Candidates submitted applications which were screened by the Youth COMEA. Two parties, LEAD and KALINAW, campaigned online and the election was held online with 76 of 110 BKD members voting. The newly elected BKD officers were announced, including Jaime Ashlie Cruzado as President, and Cruzado was also elected Vice President in the district election.

the school organizations as well as one of the DepEd’s mandates to promote leadership for the holistic development of the learners, it is critical for schools to facilitate student organizations’ elections and other relevant practices that will meaningfully support learners’ initiatives and respond to varied contexts at this time of pandemic.
As stipulated in the OASYASC
Memorandum titled "Youth Commission on Elections and Appointments (Youth COMEA) for School Year 2022-2023, which will serve as the basis for the said elections, after the conduct of SSG Elections, the schedule of elections for other student-led organizations such as Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), Youth for Environment in School’s Organization (YES-O), and other registered school clubs and organizations shall commence.
On September 13, 2022, QNHS-BKD
launched their filing of candidacy, and the Election Application Form (EAF) was completely disseminated to aspirants who had the purest and best intentions and understanding of the position they were applying for.
Following the completion of the EAF of
candidates' relevant information, on September 14, 2022, the form was submitted to the Youth COMEA for screening and validation. The next day, COMEA released the official list of the qualifying candidates for the QNHS-BKD election. The LEAD party and the KALINAW party were created to compete in the election, and they held their online campaign on September 16, 2022.
On September 20, 2022, the online election
took place, with 76, or 69%, of the 110 BKD members being counted or voting online. The Youth COMEA announced the list of newly proclaimed officers of QNHS-BKD SY 2022-2023 on September 21, 2022.
