Nitrogen Pack:
Purpose: A nitrogen pack or nitrogen blanket is used to maintain an inert environment in particular
portions of the GPRS and related pipes.
Function: Nitrogen is injected to avoid the creation of combustible mixtures or to displace oxygen,
minimizing the danger of explosions or fires. It can also be used to protect sensitive equipment
against corrosion.
Vent Stack:
Purpose: A vent stack is a vertical pipe or chimney used to securely expel excess gas or pressure
during operational processes.
Function: In the event of a pressure build-up or an emergency shutdown, the vent stack offers a
regulated exit for expelling excess gas, preventing over-pressurization, and assuring the safety of the
GPRS and its surroundings.
Function: In the case of an unexpected pressure surge or other condition that might result in
dangerously high pressures, the PRV opens to release gas and drop the pressure to a safe level,
averting potential equipment damage or failure.
Function: These valves allow operators to control gas flow rates and guarantee that pressure
decrease is done gradually and properly, maximizing the performance and safety of the GPRS.
Function: These devices offer operators real-time data, allowing them to maintain correct pressure
levels and quickly spot any abnormalities or possible concerns.
