In this era of science and technology/In the digital age/In this modern era, online
classes are becoming one of the most common 最普遍 education method 教育方法 in
modern country 先进国家,including Malaysia. Recently 最近, the spreading 蔓延 of
Covid-19 /novel 新型 coronavirus 冠状 disease had changed the classroom-based
learning 课室学校 to a new way 方法, which is online learning/E-learning. Online
learning application such as ‘Zoom’ and ‘Google Classroom’ are gaining its popularity 得到
它的名气,but some people raise questions 提出问题 about its effectiveness 关于效果
compared to traditional learning 比较于传统问题. As the saying goes, nothing is perfect.
In my opinion, I think that online classes have its pros and cons 好处和坏处 as it is very
convenient and cheap, but it require more self-discipline and time management skills as
well as lack of communicational skills development 缺乏沟通技巧.

Online learning offers a host/variety of benefits 很多好处. First of all, online

classes is convenient. By attending online classes, the students do not need to go for
physical class 实体课室 in school which requires transportation 交通. In contrast 相反的,
they just a phone or computer in order 为了 to attend online classes provided by their
teachers or lecturers 教授. It is very convenient 很方便 that students no need to travel so
far, instead 相反的 they just need to stay at home especially 尤其是 during this
pandemic 流行病. It’s provides ‘win-win’双赢 situation 情况 as the students can take
classes within 在 their house while teachers can prepare teaching materials 教材 by
using several function through internet such as Powerpoint, Sharescreen, graphic and so
on. Thus, it can be concluded that E-learning is very convenient for either 要么 students
or teachers.
In addition, online classes are pretty 相当 cheap. Parents don’t have fork out 拿出
hundreds of ringgit to pay for their children’s travel fees, meal fees, book fees and so on
by attending class in school. Compared to online classes, they only need to pay for
reasonable 合理 internet as all the information are available on internet. For instance,
there are some mobile operators 电话运商 such as Digi offers a great package of internet
and phones for online classes. As a result, it saves parents’ money and help to solve
family financial problems 财务问题 in long term 长期. In short, online classes help
parents to save up money as it’s cheap.

However, the online learning has its dark sides 坏处 too. Online classes require
more self discipline 自律 and time management skills 时间管理技巧. In many cases, the
students are left to fent 远离 themselves during learning activities, without anyone 没有
人 constantly urging 持续的叫 them on their learning goals 学习目标。Students who
take E-learning courses will have difficulties 困难 to learn something in a
comfortable/condusive home setting 舒适的家里设定。It may require more self
discipline and well time management in order to plan their classes. Consequently,
students may left behind 跟不上 in the classes as there’s no face-to-face 面对面
interaction while students will lose focus easily. To summarise, the online learning
probably 有可能/也许 need a strong self discipline and well time management skills.

Last but not least, E-learning may influence 影响 communication skills

development. As online classes do not have face-to-face interaction just like physical
classroom 实体课室, students are unable to communicate with their teachers
immediately 马上 whenever there’s a question about the topic 主题. The students will
find it hard to interact with one another as sometimes there’s internet interruption 网线
干扰,phone problems or other factors which affect 影响 their interaction.
Consequently, the students may not being able to present 表达 their ideas or share their
opinions 意见 in front of others 其他人. Therefore, it is proved 被证明 that online
learning will bring to lack of communicational skills development.
In a nutshell/ In a conclusion, I think that online learning has its pros and cons as it
is very convenient and cheap but requires self discipline and lack of communication skills
development. As the saying goes, every coin has its two sides. We should take the
advantages and overcome the shortcoming 坏处 in order to provide a world-class 世界等
级 education in our homeland 国土.
