Phrase:

A group of words, which make sense, but not complete sense, is called a phrase.

కొంత అర్ధమును ఇచ్చుచూ సంపూర్ణముగా అర్ధమునీయని పదముల సముదాయమును phrase (జట్టు లు) అంటారు.

Phrase contains less than four words. ( phrase మూడు లేదా నాలుగు పదములు కలిగి ఉండును)

Ex: In a corner, in the event of, if, of all the countries.

Example of phrases:

The sun rises in the East Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

There came a giant to my door. It was a sunset of great beauty.

The tops of the mountains were covered with snow. Show me how to do it.

He has a chain of gold.

Adjective: విశేషణము::

An adjective is a word to add something to the meaning of a noun:

నామవాచకమునకు ఉన్న అర్ధమునకు మరికొంత అర్ధమును కలుపు పదమును విశేషణము అంటారు.

The word describes the noun or pronoun

నామవాచకమును మరియు సర్వనామము ను వివరించు పదమును విశేషణము అంటారు.

Ex: He is a brave boy adjective: Brave

There are twenty boys in the class. Adjective: twenty.

Adjective phrase:

An adjective is a group of words that does the work of an adjective.

(Adjective phrase )విశేషణ సంయుక్త పదము అనునది కొన్ని మాటల సముదాయము అయి ఉండి adjective పని
చేయును.

కొన్ని పదముల సముదాయము కలిసి adjective పాత్రను పోసించును.

Ex: the vizier was a wealthy man adjective: wealthy

The vizier was a man of great wealth Adjective phrase: great wealth

Adverb: క్రియ విశేషణము – అనగా verb నకు కొంత అర్ధమును కలుపునది.

Verb కు గాని adjective కు గాని లేక యింకొక adverb కు గాని మరికొంత భావమును కలుపు పదమును adverb అంటారు.

Ex: He worked the sum quickly verb: sum adverb: quickly

This flower is very beautiful adjective: Beautiful adverb: very

She pronounced the word quite correctly adverb: correctly adverb: quite

Adverb phrase:

An adverb phrase is a group of words that does the work of an adverb.

Adverb phrase పదముల సముదాయము అయి ఉండి adverb పని చేయును.

An adverb phrase , like an adverb , may modify also an adjective or adverb

Adverb phrase కూడా adverb వలెనే adjective ను గాని adverb ను గాని modify చేయును.

Ex: Rama ran quickly ( How) Adverb: quickly

Rama ran with great speed (How) adverb phrase: with great speed

Ex: He answered rudely (How) Adverb: rudely

He answered in a very rude manner (how) Adverb phrase: very rude manner (How)

Some examples: Adverb: bravely Adverb phrase: in a brave manner or with bravery

Adverb: unwisely Adverb phrase: in an unwise manner or without wisdom.

Noun: నామవాచకము:

A Noun is a word use as the name of a person, place, or thing.

ఒక మనిషి యొక్క పేరును గాని, ఒక ప్రదేశము యొక్క పేరును గాని ,ఒక వస్తు వు యొక్క పేరును గాని తెలియజేయు పదమును
నామవాచకము అంటారు.

Noun placed in a sentence as a subject or object.

నామవాచకమును వాక్యములో సబ్జెక్టు గాను లేదా object గా ఉంటుంది.
