SCHOOL -BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC)


SY: 2022-2023
Pursuant to Department Order No. 35, s. 2016 entitled “The Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K
to 12 Basic Education Program’s School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy
for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning,”V.Ricafrente Elementary School conducted its
training workshop last October 28, 2022 to June 23, 2023. The discussions encompassed strategies
to improve students’ reading comprehension as well as on becoming an innovative leader at school.

Our School-Based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) SY:2022-2023 Session 4 dated January 27, 2023
was held in V. Ricafrente Elementary School. All teachers are physical present in the once a month
School-Based Activity

The training proper started at 7:00 -8:00 am for the registration of participants and
management of Learning. Mam Lora D. Benlot grade 2 & 3 teacher was the first resource speaker
discussed the Pedagogy and Transformative Approaching Education from 8:00 am to 9:45 am followed
by a health break from 9:45 am -10:00 am. The second resource speaker was Sir Rolan B. Quierra grade
5 & 6 teacher discussed Different Reading Approaches to Improve the Reading Ability of the Learners
from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. He first tried to interest the participants with fun facts about the reading
process.He then elaborated on the different Reading Approaches to improved the reading ability as well
as the reading comprehension among learners and followed by lunch break.

In the afternoon session our Kinder & Grade 1 teacher. Mam Desiree Joy D. Rait facilitate about
How data from formative Assessment can improved subsequent lessons from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The
last resource speaker for the session was Explain the 21st Century Skills possess by the Learners was
facilitated by Roderick T. Gatdula our Teacher-In-Charge from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm

Each participant did their part to make the session a success and ended up at 5:00 pm.

This was truly a fruitful afternoon.

2023 was held in V. Ricafrente Elementary School. All teachers are physical present in the once
a month School-Based Activity
The training proper started at 7:30-8:00 am for the registration of participants and
management of Learning. Sir Roderick T. Gatdula Teacher-In-Charge grade as a source speaker
discussed the Responding to Learners Comments, Inquiries, Problem and Using Praise
Accordingly through Online from 8:00 am to 9:45 am followed by a health from 9:45am -10:00
am. The second source speaker is Mam Lora D. Benlot grade 2 & 3 teacher discussed
Pedagological Strategy in Phonetic awareness lesson from 10:00 am to 12:00 am followed by
lunch break.
In the afternoon session our resource speaker Grade 5 & 6 teacher. Sir Rolan B. Quierra
discussed Sexual Orientation Diversity from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The last resource speaker for
the session was Mam Desiree Joy D. Benlot was discussed the Different between teaching
technology and Instructional Technology.
Each participant did their part to make the session a success and ended up at 5:00 pm.
This was truly a fruitful afternoon.

of Learning.The first faciliatator Sir Rolan B. Quierra grade 5 & 6 introduced the topic Strategies in
providing Effective Assessment and Reporting from 8:00 am to 9:45 am followed by a health from
9:45am -10:00 am. The second facilitator Mam Lora D. Benlot grade 2 & 3 teacher tackled the
Pedagological Strategy in Phonetic Awareness Lesson from 10:00 am to 12:00 am followed by lunch
break.

discussed Indigenization in Education: Key to Self Sufficiency and Strategic Capacity from 1:00 pm -
3:00 pm. The last resource speaker for the session was Mam Desiree Joy D. Benlot was discussed the
