The purpose of this research is to discover the Impact of Digital Platforms on Improving Employer-Employee

Relationships at the Majorel’s Office in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The most efficient way to accomplish this is by

using the explanatory sequential mixed method. According to Palinkas (2019), using both quantitative and qualitative

methods together improve comprehension of research issues rather than using either strategy alone. In a mixed-

methods study, every set of techniques is improved and plays a significant part in attaining the project's overall aims

by its capacity to counteract the flaws in the other set and by its superiority, both in terms of value and result,

involvement with the complementary range of techniques in a productive way.

Population, Sample Size, and Sampling Techniques

The participants of the study include 25 Majorel employees and one Majorel employer. There are 7 Line of

Business for the Alabang Office with 7 Team Leaders. The total number of people working-in was 106 from 2020-

2023.

The researchers utilized a technique called consecutive sampling, which is similar to convenience sampling

that seeks to include all accessible respondents in the sample. (Non-Probability Sampling, n.d.). Researchers used a

sampling method where the 25 Employees and 1 Employer from LOB A & B who were currently working at Majorel

met the inclusion criteria and were selected for the study to answer the interview and survey questionnaires.

Description

The respondents of the study are the employee and employer representatives in the office of Majorel located

in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.  It is required that these participants have had experience working within a flexible or

remote work setup. To meet this criterion, it is stipulated that the participants must have been employed at Majorel for

a minimum of three years, spanning from 2020 to 2023, during which the implementation of remote and flexible work

practices took place.

Instrumentation

In this study, the researchers used mixed questionnaires through online surveys. Mixed questionnaires

consist of closed as well as open-ended questions. The interviewees will answer the form easily, accessing it through

an internet connection. The first part of the questionnaire is about the digital platforms used by the company. The

next part is about the relationship between the employer and employee.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers used suitable methods to collect all of the data required for the investigation . The

researchers presented a letter to Majorel company asking for permission to conduct a survey and interview their call

center agent, team leader, workforce manager, and employer representative. The researchers requested the chosen

respondents for permission to conduct a survey and interview and explained the goal of the study to the participants.

The researchers informed the responders that their information would be kept strictly secret and that the data they

provided would only be utilized for research purposes.

The researchers employed consecutive sampling in selecting the participants of the study. Data was

collected through a combination of a survey questionnaire and an interview. To ensure the legitimacy of the

responses, the survey questionnaire was disseminated using Google Forms, and the interview was performed. To

minimize disruptions during working hours, the researchers arranged the interview at a mutually convenient time for

the participants. The researchers meticulously transcribed the interview data, thoroughly reviewing it to guarantee its

accuracy.
The researchers retrieved the survey form from Google Form after the survey; the data gathered were

analyzed and interpreted through paired sample t- test.  For the interview data was analyzed and interpreted through

thematic coding Thematic coding is a type of qualitative analysis in which you may construct a framework of thematic

ideas by recording or recognizing passages of text or pictures that are related by a similar subject or concept. (Gibbs,

2007).

Statistical Treatment of Data

In order to answer questions and test the hypothesis, the following statistical procedures were applied in

data interpretation. This study included the frequency count, mean, percentages, and standard deviation

methodologies. The following is the formula for various statistical tools:

1. Percent Distribution. The percentage was used to calculate the ratio of the frequency of replies to the total

number of respondents. The percentage formula was specifically utilized to convey the data on the respondents'

profiles.

The formula is shown below:

𝑃      =    𝑓     𝑥 100
          𝑛

Where:

P = computed percentage

f = frequency of scores

n = total number of respondents

100 = constant value

2. Weighted Mean. It was used to calculate the average responses to the inquiries regarding of various impacts on

the employed to employer-employee relationship during incorporation of digital platforms in flexible working set-up,

which revealed in the various portions of the questionnaires.

The formula is shown below:

WM   =   ∑ XiWi

            N

3. Paired Sample T-test. This tool test is used to determine whether there is a substantial variation in the

quality of the employer-employee relationship before and after exposure to the flexible and remote

working environment. T-test is a statistical analysis that’s incorporate in comparing different means

obtained in one entity or subject, resulting pairs of observation (Statistics Solutions, 2022).
