Ground Rules
All teams must register through the registration forms provided by the
Sangguniang Kabataan Federation
Every player must be a resident of the Barangay that they represent for a total of
at least 12 consecutive months. Failure to provide any legitimate documents will
result in immediate Team disqualification.
Note: We don’t require anyone from your team members to submit any of these
documents upon the submission of your line-up. But always keep in mind that
we will require you to present any of these documents when necessary. Have
these documents ready:
i. Identification Card
ii. Barangay Certificate of Residency
iii. Certificate of Live Birth
iv. Voter’s Certificate
Fees must be collected before the opening ceremony. Fees are as follows:
i. Registration Fee = ₱350.00
ii. Defaulting Fee = ₱450.00
B. Verification Process – Upon receiving an age protest, the tournament officials will
conduct a thorough verification process. This may involve rechecking the submitted

C. One-Time Chance – If the verification process confirms that a team has fielded players
who exceed the age limit, the team in violation will be given a one-time chance to rectify
the situation. The team must remove the player who violated the eligibility rules from
their roster before the start of the next game.
D. Immediate Action – If the team in violation removes the ineligible player from their roster
and complies with the age limit requirement, they will remain eligible to compete in the
INTER-BARANGAY GAMES. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in
immediate team disqualification.
E. Appeal – If the disqualified Team believes there has been an error in the verification
process or the application of the one-time chance compliance, they are entitled to an
appeal. The appeal is designed to ensure that all parties have the opportunity to present
their case and seek a fair resolution. It provides a platform for thorough review and
consideration of any discrepancies, ensuring that the decision-making process remains
transparent and just. The appeal, if invoked, should be conducted promptly and
impartially, with the ultimate goal of upholding the principles of fairness and
sportsmanship that underpin the tournament.
F. Protest Policy – Please be advised that as of the elimination phase of the SK-KKDAT BIDA
Sports Tournament, the organizing committee will no longer entertain or consider any
protests related to the outcomes of matches, decisions, or any other tournament-related
matters. Any protests or concerns that arose during the earlier phases of the tournament
should have been addressed and resolved according to the established procedures at that
time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy as we
aim to provide a successful and enjoyable tournament experience for all participants.

a) Rank 1 vs Rank 4
If Rank 1 wins, they advance to the championship game.
If Rank 4 wins, a second match is required.
b) Rank 2 vs Rank 3
If Rank 2 wins, they advance to the championship game.
If Rank 3 wins, a second match is required.
B. Second Match
a. Rank 4 vs Rank 1
Winner advances to the championship game.

THE FOLLOWING RULES SHALL BE APPLIED, IF THERE IS A CONFLICT BETWEEN THE FIBA
RULES AND THE GROUND RULES, THE GROUND RULES SHALL PREVAIL.
a) Participating teams found to be falsifying records during the Tournament period shall
lose all their games played and may be suspended from further participation in the
next tournament of Barangay Tapon Norte.
b) Team line-ups become official and final only after the team has played its first official
game. Therefore, NO CHANGES (insertions or alterations) shall be allowed after the
first official game of each team.
c) Only the playing members, and team officials, listed in the official line-up shall be
allowed to occupy the Team benches reserved for the competing teams.
f) Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, seated on the Team’s bench area must be in
proper attire, with no SLIPPERS or SANDALS.
g) SCHEDULE TIME IS TOSS-UP TIME; the Team is expected to be in the playing venue
ahead of the scheduled time for their pre-game warm-up and right away when game
time is called. A grace period of thirty (30) minutes is given before forfeiture is
declared.
h) In case of a fortuitous event that may cause the stop-paged of the game, e.g., rain,
brownout, etc. it will be resolved in the following manner,
i) If the game has not started, it will be rescheduled with the technical committee given
the right to set the date with proper consultation with the teams concerned.

j) If the game has already started and stopped after the first ten (10) minutes or after
the first period, it shall be rescheduled and shall continue with the remaining time of
the regulation, but if it was stopped before the lapse of the first ten (10) minutes of
the first period, the game shall be rescheduled and shall start from the beginning.
k) A protest filed after the elimination round against another team/team member will
not be entertained.
SCOPE AND DURATION OF EFFECTIVITY OF THE RULES FOR THE SK-KKDAT BIDA
SPORTS TOURNAMENT 2023
The rules and regulations outlined herein shall remain effective throughout the entire duration of
the SK-KKDAT BIDA Sports Tournament. These rules shall govern the conduct and proceedings of the
tournament from the commencement of the opening ceremony until the conclusion of the closing
ceremony.
This comprehensive scope of effectivity encompasses all phases of the SK-KKDAT BIDA Sports
Tournament, including but not limited to team registration, player eligibility, match scheduling, code of
conduct, fair play expectations, dispute resolution procedures, disqualification policies, and any other
aspects essential to the orderly and equitable execution of the event.
We emphasize that these rules are designed to ensure consistent standards of behavior and
competition throughout the entirety of the SK-KKDAT BIDA Sports Tournament. All participating teams,
officials, and stakeholders are expected to be familiar with and abide by these rules from the moment they
enter the tournament until its conclusion.
It is imperative that all parties recognize the significance of these rules in maintaining the
credibility, integrity, and harmony of the SK-KKDAT BIDA Sports Tournament. Any amendments or changes
to these rules, if deemed necessary, will be communicated in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
Participants are responsible for remaining informed about any updates and adhering to the most current
version of the rules, as provided by the organizing committee.
By participating in the SK-KKDAT BIDA Sports Tournament, all involved parties acknowledge and
agree to comply with these rules throughout the tournament's duration. Your cooperation in upholding
