1. INTRODUCTION

SIROCCO Management Commits itself to develop, document, implement and maintain a


documented Environment, Occupational health and Safety Policy based on the ISO 14001:2015
and ISO 45001:2018 management standards.

2. SCOPE

This Policy is applicable to all employees of SIROCCO, visitors and other contractors.

3. OBJECTIVES

To prevent workplace injuries/ill health and environmental pollution whilst carrying out the
company Projects.

4. GENERAL

The company recognizes the importance of promoting awareness on SHE related issues among
its personnel and will strive towards excellent performance in health and safety arena, ensuring
that our work is of international standards and done in a safe and healthy manner.

a. Continually identify, assess, monitor, prioritize and reduce SHE impacts and risks by
ensuring that operations and projects are conducted within the documented and
implemented SHE management system as prescribed by ISO 14001: 2015, IS0 45001:
2018.
b. Adhere to relevant and applicable SHE legal and adopted other requirements.
c. Review the strategic risks and opportunities related to SIROCCO operations when
required
I.e. when the context of the organization changes.
d. Commit to continual improvement of its SHE performance through developing
strategies, objectives and programmes as well as risk controls and management actions
and reviewing these on a regular basis.
e. Commit to eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks.
f. Liaise and work with regulatory agencies, local communities, other interested and
affected parties and workers to promote constructive interaction in all SHE matters.
g. Ensure that all personnel visiting or working at SIROCCO are equipped with the requisite
training to enable them to conduct activities in a responsible manner.
h. Prevent pollution by managing waste, emissions, noise, dust and chemical hazards to
secure an acceptable working environment and employing, wherever practicable, the
principles of avoidance, reduction, re-use, and recycling.
i. Conserve materials and natural resources with particular emphasis on water, energy,
biodiversity and land.
j. Make adequate resources available to support this SHE Policy.

k. Develop and implement fatigue management programmes in support of worker's and
contractor's wellness.
l. Foster awareness of shared responsibility and accountability for SHE among all workers
and contractors through communication programmes, which embrace interaction and
the co-operation of all interested and affected parties.
m. Provide a forum for consultation and participation of SHE issues with worker
representatives.
n. Make this SHE Policy available to interested and affected parties, and communicate to
all workers and subcontractors.
o. Review this SHE Policy as and when required to ensure that it remains relevant and
appropriate.
p. Ensure workers, subcontractors and visitors take care of the environment, their own
health and the safety of others.
q. This SHE Policy shall be maintained as documented information and will be made
available to all employees and it shall be displayed on SIROCCO notice boards
