Objectives:
1. The students will be able to know Indonesia celebrates the Independence Day on 17 August.
2. The students will be able to sing Indonesia Raya and Hari Merdeka.
3. Lower level students (Pre-Nursery and Nursery) will have dance performance at school to
build their confidence.
4. The students will be able to recite Pancasila (especially for K2 students).

1. Decorations
School hall and front office will be decorated with heart flags of Indonesia and map of
Indonesia. These decorations are also visual aids for teachers to explain to all students
that we love Indonesia. Flags: Red means brave, white means pure.

2. Students’ Activities:

Students will sing Indonesia Raya and Hari Merdeka after doing morning assembly at the
hall.

2.1 Toddler Craft [Making Indonesian Hat]

 Materials : red asturo paper, big pompom and white paint.
Steps:
1. Students will make the red asturo paper with cone shape.
2. Students will use the pom – pom to decorate the hat with white colour.

It will be white colour and use the

pom – pom to make the white spot

2.2 Pre Nursery Craft ( Flower’s popsicle craft)
 Materials : red and white buffalo, ice cream stick (popsicle), super glue
Steps:
1. Teachers already cut the petals of flowers red and white
2. Students will arrange the petals flowers with teacher’s guidance to make the
flower
3. Students will paste the circle sticker in the middle of flower as the stamen
4. Students will paste the popsicle as the flower’s stem

2.3 Nursery Craft [Handprint and Finger print craft]

 Materials : white bufallo, red paint, green asturo, red ribbon and glue.
Steps:
1. Teachers already cut white buffalo paper into oval shapes.
2. Students will paint the right palm with red paint and do the hand print as the
flower.
3. Students will use the pointer finger to do the finger print around the oval shape’s
paper.
4. After it dried well, students will paste the stem and the leave under the handprint.
5. Teachers will help to paste the ribbon as the hanger.

2.4 K1 Craft [Red and White Paper Wall Hanging]

 Materials: Buffalo paper (red and white), glue, scissors, red wool, and small
ribbon (red and white).
Steps:
1.Teachers already cut the buffalo paper into the heart shape.
2.Students will fold the asturo paper given by teacher.
3.Students will paste the red paper into the white paper.
4.Students will arrange those papers around the heart shapes

 5. Students will paste the red or white flower in the middle of the heart’s shape
6. Teacher will help students to paste the ribbon as the hanger.

2.5 K2 Craft [Red and White Crown)

 Materials: Red origami paper, A4 white paper, and glue.
Steps:
1. Teachers already prepare the papers.
2. Students will fold each origami paper and paste the heart shape on top of it.
3. Students will paste and arrange the folding paper by measuring their head’s
size.
4. The last part, students will arrange and paste all those folding paper with their
head’s size to make a crown

3. Games:
3.1 Toddler: Racing put the pom-pom into the correct box
3.1.1 Materials : 3 basins, red-white pompom.
3.1.2 How to play: Each student has to take the red and white pompom and put the
pompom into the correct box.

3.2 Kindergarten 1: Tug of War

 Materials: Big rope.

  How to play:
 Students will be divided into 2 big group (Group A and B)
 The teacher will give the rope to students
 On the third count, each group have to pull the rope with the full energy
 Whose group can hold on and pull all the rope will be the winner.

3.3 Kindergarten 2: Estafet Flag

 Materials: Plastic Flag, big plastic bottle.
 How to play:
The students will be divided into team A and B.
- Those teams will race each other.
- The students who sit in front will give the flag to his friend who sits
behind him and so on. The last student will put the flag inside the
bottle.

 Students are compulsory to wear Indonesia traditional clothes.
