SKYWATCH SKY497 - ARINC 429 Label 320

Reason: To inform customers that the ARINC 429 Label 320 is not a heading source.

Description: The SKY497 outputs ARINC 429 Label 320, MAG Heading, as part of the
traffic data supplied to an alternate display, in accordance with ARINC
Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) ARINC Characteristic
735-2, published January 15, 1993. The output of magnetic heading is
intended for display stabilization. The SKY497 is not a navigation device and
this data should not be considered as a source for heading.

Skywatch systems configured for a stepper motor heading input shall not be
installed with an alternate display that is using Skywatch as a source for
heading in displaying traffic on a moving map display.

Approval: This Service Letter contains no modification information that revises the
approved configuration and therefore does not require government or other
regulatory agency approval.

Export Compliance: This technical data has been released into the public domain in compliance
with EAR Part 734.7-11.
