1: What do research and international standards say about teaching and learning with
technology?
We can’t deny the fact that we are in the midst of a technological revolution.
With each passing day, it appears that there is a new device or technology that is meant
to make our lives simpler and more efficient. While there are certain negatives to our
ever-increasing reliance on technology, there are also numerous ways in which it may
help us learn better. From online resources to smartphone applications, there are more
tools than ever before to help us study and learn more effectively and efficiently.
2. Based on what you learned about the debate between Sir John Daniel
and Robert Kozma, to whom do you comfortable agree with and why?
Support your answer.
Based on what I learned, technology can be a great asset for learning if it is used
correctly. Technology can be used to supplement learning by providing tools outside of
the classroom that enhance knowledge, help with practice and testing, and connect
learners with qualified tutors.
The key to using technology to learn is to determine how and when it should
best be used. Technology should only be used as a tool to supplement existing methods
of learning, not as a replacement for them. Technology should be used judiciously, and it
should only be used when it is needed and can provide genuine benefit to the learning
process.

2: Technology and active learning
1. What is your opinion about the topic “Use of Technology in Active Learning
Teaching Practices to Enhance Lecturers’ Self-Efficacy in Technical
University Environment”? Support your answer.
In recent years, there has been a growing trend of students and educators
using technology in the classroom. While this can be a great way to engage students
and improve learning outcomes, it is important to ensure that the technology being
used is of high quality and meets international standards.
2. Assume that you are one of the decision-makers, what are your strategies to
promote and implement technology-enhanced active learning (Face-to-Face
and online) in your institution?
If I were to decide on the modality being used in my institution I would
rather still use the hybrid modality which was adopted also by one of the
schools in Davao City.
