1. Can technology replace a teacher in the classroom? Explain your answer.

 No, because no matter how advanced or smart a technology is, it cannot replace teachers.
Technology cannot come close to the knowledge and life experience a teacher brings. And
teaching is not all about facts and figures. A teacher leads guides, facilitates, and mentors a
student.

2. As a student, why is it important to be digital literate this time of pandemic?

 As a student, it is important to be digitally literature this time of pandemic because it is also for
us to be able to meet our needs on learning and as well as to cope in the new form of learning
process.

3. Why is it important for teachers to be digitally literate this time of pandemic?

 It is important for teachers to be digitally literate this time of pandemic so that they can
leverage technology to achieve new levels of productivity, implement useful digital tools to
expand learning opportunities for students, and increase student support and engagement. It
also enables teachers to improve their instruction methods and personalize learning especially
this time of pandemic.

4. Interview a teacher and ask the following questions. (Teacher's answer should be based on face to
face instruction.)

 At this point, I interviewed Ma'am Annabelle Dasalla Domingo who is currently teaching at
Isabela College Inc. at Cauayan City Isabela, and the following are her answers.

4.1) What educational technologies are available in their school?

 The educational technologies that are available on out school are tv monitor in every classroom
and computer technology room with wifi connection.

4.2) What are their consideration in choosing instructional materials to use on teaching?

 In choosing instructional materials to use on teaching, we need to consider the ability of our
students if it is suitablr for them and we also consider their interest in learning.

4.3) What teaching aids are used most often? Why?


 Since we are now in the 21st Century, I can say that the most used teaching aids is the tv
monitor, because it helps the students to view our lessons through power point presentation,
video presentation, etc.

4.4) Despite modernization, do you still use traditional teaching aids? Why?

 Yes, even though we are now in the modernized world of teaching, I still want to use traditional
mode of teaching becausr not all the time, we use technology in teaching especially when there
is a power interuption, when there is unexpected problems regarding technology.

Why is technology important in teaching?

 Based on the video that I've watched, technology is important in teaching because it enhanced
the relationship on students and teachers, it makes the lesson more meaningful and fun, and it
makes the concert of the lesson more realistic.

6.1) What is your understanding of instructional technology?

 My understanding of instructional technology is that it refers to the practice of design,


development, utilization, management and evaluation of the processes and resources for
learning. It is used to improve educational and training systems in organizational settings, school
systems, and universities through the application of research and best practices from
instructional technology and Instructional Technology is much more than hardware and
computer software development.

6.2) What technology tools do you use as a student?

 Like the other students I use Hand Held Devices tools since it is the only tool that is available on
our home and sometimes, I also use Email tools especially when I am submitting my activities
and requirements.
