Dear parents and guardians,

My name is Vernell Gardner-Quarrells, and I am a senior math education student at Geneva

College. For my final semester at Geneva, I was granted the opportunity to student teach under
the supervision of Mr.Dodd at Beaver County Christian School until September 29th, and I could
not be more excited! I hope to spend my time learning and growing alongside your child, getting
to know them personally, and better equipping myself to meet the needs of those inside the
classroom walls. As I find my niche, I intend to work on building classroom management and
instructional techniques that will enable me to aid your child in any way I can. Likewise, as
Proverbs 27:17 states it, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Your child will
have a lot to teach me about exhibiting patience, mental fortitude, and most importantly,
humility. As I work with them to garner some of the skills needed for life outside of the
classroom, they will help to better prepare me for the years of teaching I will pursue.

Allow me to express my gratitude for the time you spend helping with your child’s education. I
am here to be a team player and provide you with assistance as I encourage them to seek their
full potential. I look forward to seeing individual improvements and will work my hardest to
