TIME LEARNING TASK
Monday Preliminaries
7:00-9:30 Wake up, breakfast and get ready for class day!
Have a short exercise / bonding with family.
9:30-9:40 Introduction (What I need to know)
At the beginning of the lesson, orient the learner that the concept of the lesson is to infer the
meaning of blended words using context clues. After a short discussion, the parent shall hand-in
the module and answer sheet to the learner.
9:40-9:50 Pre assessment (What I know)
Allow the learner to answer the first activity on page 2. Let the pupil choose the correct
meaning of the underlined words.
Remember: Read and understand the direction carefully. You may read the questions
and choices if your child is not an independent reader yet.
After you have monitored him/her in reading the instructions, let your child answer the
activity on a separate blank sheet of paper on his/ her notebook.
Remember: You may ask your child to review his/her answers before proceeding to the
lesson proper.
PROCEDURES
9:50-10:00 1. Review/Motivations (What’s In)
On this part of module, let the pupil complete the sentences with the correct words found inside
the box on page 3.
Remember: You should give attention and find the best time to assist the learner.
After your child’s reading, allow him/her to answer the next activity on page 4.
Remember: Make sure to check his/her answers.
10:00-10:10 2. Initial Activity/Discovery (What’s New)
After examining the pictures in Column, A and choices in Column B, let the pupil write the
answer to each question on page 4.
Remember: Guide your child to understand the questions. You can help him/her in
answering the questions.
10:10-10:40 3. Discussion of the Topic (What is it)
On page 5, enough time must be given on this part of the module to read and understand
the concept of the lesson.
Remember: Discuss the topic using the information on page 5 of module.
Explain to them how to do blending of words. Explain how to derive meaning from them.
Guide the learner in learning the commonly used blended words.
10:40-10:50 4. Enrichment Activities (What’s More)
This part of the module will measure the learner’s understanding of the lesson. Have
him/her answer the activity on page 6.
Remember: Guide the pupils in answering the activity on page 6. Make sure that they
understand and follow the instructions.
10:50-11:00 5. Generalization (What I Have Learned)
On this part, the learner must be able to generalize the concept of the lesson by
identifying the word being referred to in each sentence on page 7.
Remember: Guide the learners to generalize and discuss the lesson by completing the
information on page 7.
11:00-11:10 6. Application (What I Can Do)
Let the pupil answer the activity on page 12.
Remember: Make sure that the directions are properly observe.
11:10-11:20 7. Assessment (Post assessment)
On page 8-9, have the learner read the sentences and identify the meaning of the
underlined words from the choices below.
Remember: Write legibly.
11:20-11:30 8. Additional Activity
Have the learner identify the blended words being describe. Copy the sentences with it.
Remember: At the end of this lesson, praise your child and give a reward for his/her
accomplishment so he/she will be motivated in taking another task for the next module.
