Bicol Express Recipe


Bicol Express is a spicy pork dish with coconut milk, sauted shrimp
paste, onions, garlic and of course, its main ingredient that makes it
so hot…the long chili pepper (siling haba).

Ingredients
300 g pork
200 ml coconut milk
1 medium onion
3 pcs red chili
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper

Instructions
1. Heat a pan in medium fire.
2. Add some cooking oil.
3. Sauté the garlic and the onion.
4. Add the pork and cook to 5-7 minutes until the meat turns light brown.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour the coconut milk and stir.
7. Simmer until the meat becomes tender.
8. Stir occasionally to prevent the coconut oil from over cooking.
9. Add the chili's and simmer for 3 5 minutes.
10. Serve.
