Explain the process of aerobic respiration.

Glycolysis
- The glycolysis process, the glucose molecules are splitting and separated into two ATP and
two NADH molecules, which are later used in the process of aerobic respiration.
Chemical Equation:
Glucose + 2ATP+ 2NA D +¿¿ 4ATP + 2NADH+ 2 pyruvate
Krebs Cycle
In this process, the pyruvate molecules are converted into carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions,
and the hydrogen ions are transferred to electron carriers.
Electron Transport Chain
The electrons from the electron carriers are transferred through a series of protein complexes,
which results in the production of ATP.
Why is cellular respiration important?
Used to generate usable ATP energy to support many other reactions in the body. it provides
cells with the energy they need to function. If living things could not get the energy they need
out of food, it would be worthless. All living things would eventually die, no matter the quality
and amount of food.
