 In a foods class, have the class
practice grocery shopping
comparisons about prices in store vs
name brands. Use images for
products to keep him from being too
overstimulated with so much
reading, we want him to focus on
numbers, not letters in this activity.
 In a personal finance class, use a
budgeting assignment, for him it
could be simplified by giving him a
smaller pre-assigned budget with
fewer specific expenditures
 Allow him opportunities or “jobs” in
the classroom to practice
professionalism and instructions
such as making copies, picking up
supplies, erasing the board, etc.
 Assign him to be a reader in his
kitchen group for the recipe, having
him read it out loud to himself once
and to his group once.
 In a cooking class, use recipes that
include learning how to use an oven
and stove top to provide him with
these experiences.
