Requirements
1. Attendance is a must. Your absence from classes will result in deduction of your final grade. The
counts of absence and deduction are as follows: 1(-1), 2(-3), 3(-5), 4 and above(-7).
2. Assigned writings should be finished by due dates. No writings can be accepted after deadlines.
3. No make-up tests and presentations(writing/speaking).

2. Supplemental materials are provided. The syllabus may be adjusted subject to students’ learning needs.
Assessment Allocation
1. Final exam: 30%.
2. Speaking projects(2): 25%
3. Writing projects(3) (paragraphs/essays/journals): 20%
4. Self-learning:
Si Wan language enhancement activities: 10%
BESTEP: 5%
TEEMI(online): 5%
5. Attendance and class participation: 5%

自我學習(Self-learning) 20%
5% 英語文說寫能力檢測平台 TEEMI (<B1-2%; B1-5%)。
10% 10 次英語活動學習章(包含 English plaza、English Corner 或國際沙龍，每次皆 1 分。)
5% 培力英語能力檢定測驗。

口語報告 (Speaking Projects) 25%

形式：分二次進行，可個人／雙人。
題目: 三擇二。
I. Talk about a crime novel/movie/news.
II. Describe a person you admire.
III. Introduce an innovative technology.
時間：每次 1-3 分鐘。

寫作方案 (Writing Project) 20%

主題搭配教材內容。每位學生至少有二篇作品呈現 (200-250 字)。
每班須於期末繳交 2 篇優秀作品。

期末考 30%
期末考採取共同筆試:範圍包含 Units 6、7、8。題型為 Listening、Vocabulary、Grammar 和
Reading Comprehension。
