52:1 ‫עּורי‬
ִ ‫עּורי‬
ִ ‫ִל ְב ִׁשי‬
ֵ‫עֻ ּז‬ ‫ִצּין‬ ‫ִל ְב ִׁשי‬ ‫ִּבגְ ֵדי‬

. Awake, awake; put on
ouri ouri lbshi oz·k tziun lbshi bgdi thy strength, O Zion; put on
rouse-you ! rouse-you ! put-on-you ! strength-of·you Zion put-on-you ! clothes-of thy beautiful garments, O
Jerusalem, the holy city: for

‫ִת ְפאַ ְר ֵּת‬ ‫יְ רּוׁשָ לַ ִם‬ ‫ִעיר‬ ‫ַהּק ֶֹדׁש‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ל ֹא‬ ‫יסיף‬
ִ ‫יָב ֹא‬ ‫ָב
־‬ henceforth there shall no
more come into thee the
thpharth·k irushlm oir e·qdsh ki la iusiph iba - b·k
uncircumcised and the
beauty-of·you Jerusalem city-of the·holiness that not he-shall-cadd he-shall-come in·you
unclean.
‫עד‬ ‫עָ ֵרל‬ ‫ְוטָ ֵמא‬ :

52:2 ‫ִה ְת ַנע ֲִרי‬ ‫ֵמעָ פָ ר‬ ‫קּומי‬
ִ ‫ְּׁש ִבי‬ ‫יְ רּוׁשָ לָ ִם‬ ‫ִה ְתּפַ ְּתחּו‬

Shake thyself from the
ethnori m·ophr qumi shbi irushlm ethphthchu dust; arise, [and] sit down,
shake-yourself ! from·soil arise-you ! sit-you ! Jerusalem unloose-yourselves ! O Jerusalem: loose thyself

‫ִה ְתּפַ ְּת ִחי‬ ‫מס ֵרי‬
ְ
‫ָאר‬
ֵ ‫צַ ּו‬ ‫ְׁש ִבּיָה‬ ‫ַּבת‬ ‫ִצּין ־‬ : ‫ס‬ O captive daughter of Zion.

52:3 ‫ִּכי‬ ‫כֹה ־‬ ‫אָ ַמר‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ִחּנָם‬ ‫נִ ְמּכַ ְר ֶּתם‬ ‫ְול ֹא‬ ‫ְבכֶ ֶסף‬

For thus saith the LORD,
ki - ke amr ieue chnm nmkrthm u·la b·ksph Ye have sold yourselves for
that thus he-says Yahweh gratuitously you(p)-were-sold and·not in·silver nought; and ye shall be
redeemed without money.
‫ִּתּגָאֵ לּו‬ :

you(p)-shall-be-redeemed

52:4 ‫ִּכי‬ ‫כֹה‬ ‫אָ ַמר‬ ‫דנָי‬


ֹ ‫א‬
ֲ ‫הוה‬
ִ ְ‫י‬ ‫ִמ ְצ ַריִ ם‬ ‫י ַָרד‬ ‫עַ ִּמי ־‬ ‫ׁשנָה‬
ֹ ‫ָב ִרא‬

For thus saith the Lord
ki ke amr adni ieue mtzrim ird - om·i b·rashne GOD, My people went
that thus he-says my-Lord Yahweh Egypt he-descended people-of·me in·the·first down aforetime into Egypt
to sojourn there; and the
‫לָ גּור‬ ‫ׁשָ ם‬ ‫ְואַ ּׁשּור‬ ‫ְּבאֶ פֶ ס‬ ‫עֲׁשָ ק‬ : Assyrian oppressed them
without cause.

52:5 ‫ּתה‬
ָ ַ‫ְוע‬ ‫ִמי‬ ‫ִלי ־‬ ‫־‬ ‫ַמה‬ ‫ִּלי ־‬ ‫־‬ ‫פֹה‬ ‫נְ אֻ ם‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫לֻ ַּקח ־‬

Now therefore, what have
u·othe mi - l·i - me - l·i - phe nam - ieue ki - lqch I here, saith the LORD, that
and·now who ? to·me what ? to·me here averment-of Yahweh that he-was-taken my people is taken away for

nought? they that rule over
‫עַ ִּמי‬ ‫ִחּנָם‬ ‫ֹׁשל‬
ְ ‫מ‬ ‫ֹׁשלָ יו‬
ְ ‫מ‬ ‫ילילּו‬
ִ ‫יְ ֵה‬ them make them to howl,
saith the LORD; and my

name continually every day
people-of·me gratuitously one-ruling-of·him ones-ruling-of·him they-are-chowling
[is] blasphemed.
‫נְ אֻ ם‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ ‫ְו ָת ִמיד‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ַהּים ־‬ ‫ְׁש ִמי‬ ‫ִמּנֹאָ ץ‬ :
nam - ieue u·thmid kl - e·ium shm·i m·natz :
averment-of Yahweh and·continually all-of the·day name-of·me being-spurned

52:6 ‫לָ כֵ ן‬ ‫י ֵַדע‬ ‫עַ ִּמי‬ ‫ְׁש ִמי‬ ‫לָ כֵ ן‬ ‫ַּבּים‬ ‫ַההּוא‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫הּוא ־ אֲנִ י ־‬

Therefore my people shall

therefore he-shall-know people-of·me name-of·me therefore in·the·day the·he that I he [they shall know] in that
day that I [am] he that doth
‫ַה ְמ ַד ֵּבר‬ ‫ִהּנֵנִ י‬ : speak: behold, [it is] I.

52:7 ‫מה‬
ַ ‫ּנָאוּו ־‬ ‫ֶה ָה ִרים ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ַרגְ לֵ י‬ ‫ְמ ַבּׂשֵ ר‬ ‫יע‬
ַ ‫ַמ ְׁש ִמ‬

. How beautiful upon the
me - nauu ol - e·erim rgli mbshr mshmio mountains are the feet of
what ! they-are-comely on the·mountains feet-of one-mbearing-tidings one-cannouncing him that bringeth good
tidings, that publisheth
‫ׁשָ לם‬ ‫ְמ ַבּׂשֵ ר‬ ‫טב‬ ‫יע‬
ַ ‫ַמ ְׁש ִמ‬ ‫יְ ׁשּועָ ה‬ ‫א ֵמר‬
ֹ ‫ְל ִצּין‬
ַ‫ָמל‬ peace; that bringeth good
tidings of good, that
shlum mbshr tub mshmio ishuoe amr l·tziun mlk
publisheth salvation; that
peace one-mbearing-tidings good one-cannouncing salvation one-saying to·Zion he-reigns
saith unto Zion, Thy God
reigneth!

52:8 ‫קל‬
ִ‫צֹפַ י‬ ‫נ ְָׂשאּו‬ ‫קל‬ ‫י ְַח ָּדו‬ ‫יְ ַרּנֵנּו‬

Thy watchmen shall lift
qul tzphi·k nshau qul ichdu irnnu up the voice; with the voice
voice-of ones-being-watchmen-of·you they-lift-up voice together they-are-mbeing-jubilant together shall they sing: for
they shall see eye to eye,
‫ִּכי‬ ‫עַ יִ ן‬ ‫ְּבעַ יִ ן‬ ‫יִ ְראּו‬ ‫ְּבׁשּוב‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ִצּין‬ : when the LORD shall bring
again Zion.

that eye in·eye they-shall-see in·to-return-of Yahweh Zion

52:9 ‫ִּפ ְצחּו‬ ‫ַרּנְ נּו‬ ‫י ְַח ָּדו‬ ‫ָח ְרבת‬ ‫יְ רּוׁשָ לָ ִם‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫־‬

Break forth into joy, sing
phtzchu rnnu ichdu chrbuth irushlm ki - together, ye waste places of
burst-forth-you(p) ! mbe-jubilant-you(p) ! together deserted-places-of Jerusalem that Jerusalem: for the LORD

hath comforted his people,
‫נִ ַחם‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עַ ּמ‬ ‫ּגָאַ ל‬ ‫יְ רּוׁשָ לָ ִם‬ : he hath redeemed

52:10 ‫חׂשַ ף‬
ָ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫רע ־ אֶ ת‬
ַ ְ‫ז‬ ‫ָק ְדׁש‬ ‫ְלעֵ ינֵי‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ַהּגיִ ם ־‬ ‫ְו ָראּו‬

The LORD hath made
chshph ieue ath - zruo qdsh·u l·oini kl - e·guim u·rau bare his holy arm in the
he-bares Yahweh » arm-of holiness-of·him to·eyes-of all-of the·nations and·they-see eyes of all the nations; and
all the ends of the earth
‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫אַ ְפ ֵסי ־‬ ‫אָ ֶרץ ־‬ ‫אֵ ת‬ ‫יְ ׁשּועַ ת‬ ‫הינּו‬5ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ : ‫ס‬ shall see the salvation of our
God.

Depart ye, depart ye, go
suru suru tzau m·shm tma al - ye out from thence, touch
withdraw-you(p) ! withdraw-you(p) ! go-forth-you(p) ! from·there unclean-thing must-not-be no unclean [thing]; go ye
out of the midst of her; be
‫ִּתּגָעּו‬ ‫ְצאּו‬ ‫ִמּתכָ ּה‬ ‫ִה ָּברּו‬ ‫ֹׂשאֵ י‬
ְ ‫נ‬ ye clean, that bear the
vessels of the LORD.

you(p)-are-touching go-forth-you(p) ! from·midst-of·her be-npure-you(p) ! ones-carrying-of

‫ְּכלֵ י‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ :

52:12 ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ל ֹא‬ ‫ְב ִחּפָ זן‬ ‫ֵּתצֵ אּו‬ ‫נּוסה‬


ָ ‫ּוב ְמ‬
ִ ‫ל ֹא‬ ‫ֵתלֵ כּון‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫־‬

For ye shall not go out
ki la b·chphzun thtzau u·b·mnuse la thlku·n ki - with haste, nor go by flight:
that not in·nervous-haste you(p)-shall-go-forth and·in·fleeing not you(p)-shall-go that for the LORD will go
before you; and the God of

ֵ‫הֹל‬ ‫ִל ְפנֵיכֶ ם‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ּומאַ ִּס ְפכֶ ם‬


ְ ‫הי‬5ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫ יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬: ‫ס‬ Israel [will be] your
rereward.

52:13 ‫ִהּנֵה‬ ‫י ְַׂש ִּכיל‬ ‫עַ ְב ִּדי‬ ‫יָרּום‬ ‫ְונִ ּׂשָ א‬

. Behold, my servant
ene ishkil obd·i irum u·nsha shall deal prudently, he shall
behold ! he-is-cacting-intelligently servant-of·me he-shall-be-exalted and·he-is-lifted-up be exalted and extolled, and
be very high.

ַ ‫ְוג‬ ‫ ְמאֹד‬:

and·he-is-lofty very

52:14 ‫ּכַ אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ׁשָ ְממּו‬ <‫עָ לֶ י‬ ‫ַר ִּבים‬ ‫ִמ ְׁש ַחת ־ ּכֵ ן‬ ‫ֵמ ִאיׁש‬ ‫ַמ ְראֵ הּו‬

As many were astonied
k·ashr shmmu oli·k rbim kn - mshchth m·aish mra·eu at thee; his visage was so
as·which they-were-desolated over·you many-ones so ruined from·man appearance-of·him marred more than any man,
and his form more than the
‫תאֲר‬
ֹ ‫ְו‬ ‫ִמ ְּבנֵי‬ ‫אָ ָדם‬ : sons of men:

and·shape-of·him from·sons-of human

52:15 ‫ַיּזֶה ּכֵ ן‬ ‫ּגיִ ם‬ ‫ַר ִּבים‬ ‫עָ לָ יו‬ ‫יִ ְק ְּפצּו‬ ‫יהם ְמלָ ִכים‬
ֶ ‫ִּפ‬ ‫ִּכי‬

So shall he sprinkle
kn ize guim rbim oli·u iqphtzu mlkim phi·em ki many nations; the kings
so he-shall-cspatter nations many-ones over·him they-shall-shut kings mouth-of·them that shall shut their mouths at
him: for [that] which had
‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ֻסּפַ ר ־ ל ֹא‬ ‫לָ ֶהם‬ ‫ָראּו‬ ‫ַואֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ׁשָ ְמעּו ־ ל ֹא‬ ‫ִה ְתּבנָנּו‬ : not been told them shall
they see; and [that] which
ashr la - sphr l·em rau u·ashr la - shmou ethbunnu :
they had not heard shall
which not he-was-mrelated to·them they-see and·which not they-heard they-sconsider
they consider.
