Daniel 12

12:1 ‫ּובעֵ ת‬
ָ ‫ַה ִהיא‬ ‫עמֹד‬
ֲ ‫ַי‬ ‫ִמיכָ אֵ ל‬ ‫ַהּׂשַ ר‬ ‫ַהּגָדל‬ ‫ָהעֹ ֵמד‬ ‫עַ ל‬ ‫־‬
1
. And at that time shall
u·b·oth e·eia iomd mikal e·shr e·gdul e·omd ol - Michael stand up, the great
and·in·the·era the·she he-shall-stand-up Michael the·chief the·great the·one-standing over prince which standeth for
the children of thy people:
‫ְּבנֵי‬ ‫עַ ֶּמ‬ ‫ְו ָהיְ ָתה‬ ‫עֵ ת‬ ‫צָ ָרה‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫נִ ְהיְ ָתה ־ ל ֹא‬ and there shall be a time of
trouble, such as never was
bni om·k u·eithe oth tzre ashr la - neithe
since there was a nation
sons-of people-of·you and·she-becomes era-of distress which not she-noccurred
[even] to that same time:
and at that time thy people
‫ִמ ְהית‬ ‫ּגי‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫ָהעֵ ת‬ ‫ַה ִהיא‬ ‫ּובעֵ ת‬
ָ ‫ַה ִהיא‬ ‫יִ ָּמלֵ ט‬ shall be delivered, every one
m·eiuth gui od e·oth e·eia u·b·oth e·eia imlt that shall be found written
from·to-become-of nation until the·era the·she and·in·the·era the·she he-shall-mescape in the book.
‫עַ ְּמ‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ַהּנִ ְמצָ א ־‬ ‫ּכָ תּוב‬ ‫ַּב ֵּספֶ ר‬ :

people-of·you every-of the·one-being-found being-written in·the·scroll

12:2 ‫ְו ַר ִּבים‬ ‫ִמּיְ ׁשֵ נֵי‬ ‫אַ ְד ַמת‬ ‫עָ פָ ר ־‬ ‫י ִָקיצּו‬ ‫אֵ ּלֶ ה‬ ‫ְל ַחּיֵי‬ ‫עלָ ם‬

And many of them that
u·rbim m·ishni admth - ophr iqitzu ale l·chii oulm sleep in the dust of the earth
and·many-ones from·sleepers-of ground-of soil they-shall-cawake these to·lives-of eon shall awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to
‫ְואֵ ּלֶ ה‬ ‫לַ ח ֲָרפת‬ ‫ְל ִד ְראן‬ ‫ עלָ ם‬: ‫ס‬ shame [and] everlasting
contempt.

12:3 ‫ׂש ִּכ ִלים‬

ְ ‫ְו ַה ַּמ‬ ‫יַזְ ִהרּו‬ ‫ֹהר‬
ַ ‫ְּכז‬ ‫יע‬
ַ ‫ָה ָר ִק‬

And they that be wise
u·e·mshklim izeru k·zer e·rqio shall shine as the brightness
and·the·ones-cbeing-intelligent they-shall-cwarn as·warning-of the·atmosphere of the firmament; and they
that turn many to
‫יקי‬
ֵ ‫ּומ ְצ ִּד‬
ַ ‫ָה ַר ִּבים‬ ‫ּכַ ּככָ ִבים‬ ‫ְלעלָ ם‬ ‫וָעֶ ד‬ : ‫פ‬ righteousness as the stars
for ever and ever.

12:4 ‫ּתה‬
ָ ַ‫ְוא‬ ‫ָדנִ ּיֵאל‬ ‫ְסתֹם‬ ‫ַה ְּד ָב ִרים‬ ‫חתֹם‬
ֲ ‫ַו‬ ‫ַה ֵּספֶ ר‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫עֵ ת ־‬ ‫ֵקץ‬
4
But thou, O Daniel, shut
u·athe dnial sthm e·dbrim u·chthm e·sphr od - oth qtz up the words, and seal the
and·you Daniel stop-up-you ! the·words and·seal-you ! the·scroll until era-of end book, [even] to the time of
the end: many shall run to
‫יְ ׁש ְֹטטּו‬ ‫ַר ִּבים‬ ‫ְו ִת ְר ֶּבה‬ ‫ַה ָּדעַ ת‬ : and fro, and knowledge
shall be increased.

12:5 ‫יתי‬
ִ ‫ְו ָר ִא‬ ‫אֲנִ י‬ ‫ָדנִ ּיֵאל‬ ‫ְו ִהּנֵה‬ ‫ְׁשנַיִ ם‬ ‫ֲח ִרים‬
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫עֹ ְמ ִדים‬ ‫ֵהּנָה אֶ ָחד‬ ‫ִל ְׂשפַ ת‬

. Then I Daniel looked,
u·raithi ani dnial u·ene shnim achrim omdim achd ene l·shphth and, behold, there stood
and·I-saw I Daniel and·behold ! two others ones-standing one hither to·shore-of other two, the one on this
side of the bank of the river,
‫ַהיְ אֹר‬ ‫ְואֶ ָחד‬ ‫ֵהּנָה‬ ‫ִל ְׂשפַ ת‬ ‫ַהיְ אֹר‬ : and the other on that side of
the bank of the river.

12:6 ‫ֹאמר‬
ֶ ‫וַּי‬ ‫לָ ִאיׁש‬ ‫ְלבּוׁש‬ ‫ַה ַּב ִּדים‬ ‫ִמ ַּמעַ ל אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ימי‬
ֵ ‫ְל ֵמ‬

And [one] said to the man
u·iamr l·aish lbush e·bdim ashr m·mol l·mimi clothed in linen, which
and·he-is-saying to·the·man being-clothed-of the·linens who from·above to·waters-of [was] upon the waters of the
river, How long [shall it be
‫ַהיְ אֹר‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫ָמ ַתי ־‬ ‫ֵקץ‬ ‫ַה ְּפלָ את‬ : to] the end of these
wonders?

12:7 ‫מע‬
ַ ‫וָאֶ ְׁש‬ ‫ָה ִאיׁש ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ְלבּוׁש‬ ‫ַה ַּב ִּדים‬ ‫ִמ ַּמעַ ל אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ימי‬
ֵ ‫ְל ֵמ‬

And I heard the man
u·ashmo ath - e·aish lbush e·bdim ashr m·mol l·mimi clothed in linen, which
and·I-am-hearing » the·man being-clothed-of the·linens who from·above to·waters-of [was] upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his
‫ַהיְ אֹר‬ ‫ַוּי ֶָרם‬ ‫יְ ִמינ‬ ‫ּוׂשמ ֹאל‬
ְ ‫ַהּׁשָ ַמיִ ם ־ אֶ ל‬ right hand and his left hand
unto heaven, and sware by
e·iar u·irm imin·u u·shmal·u al - e·shmim
him that liveth for ever that
the·waterway and·he-is-cholding-high right-hand-of·him and·left-hand-of·him to the·heavens
[it shall be] for a time,
times, and an half; and
‫וַּיִ ּׁשָ ַבע‬ ‫ְּב ֵחי‬ ‫ָהעלָ ם‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ְלמעֵ ד‬ ‫מע ֲִדים‬ ‫ָח ִצי‬
ֵ ‫ו‬ when he shall have
u·ishbo b·chi e·oulm ki l·muod muodim u·chtzi accomplished to scatter the
and·he-is-nswearing in·life-of the·eon that for·appointed-time appointed-times and·half power of the holy people,
all these [things] shall be
‫ּוככַ ּלת‬
ְ ‫נַּפֵ ץ‬ ‫יַד‬ ‫עַ ם ־‬ ‫ק ֶֹדׁש ־‬ ‫ִּת ְכלֶ ינָה‬ finished.

12:8 ‫ַואֲנִ י‬ ‫ׁשָ ַמ ְע ִּתי‬ ‫ְול ֹא‬ ‫אָ ִבין‬ ‫א ְמ ָרה‬

ֹ ‫ָו‬ ‫אדֹנִ י‬
ֲ ‫ָמה‬ ‫אַ ח ֲִרית‬

And I heard, but I
u·ani shmothi u·la abin u·amr·e adn·i me achrith understood not: then said I,
and·I I-heard and·not I-am-understanding and·I-am-saying lord-of·me what ? hereafter O my Lord, what [shall be]

ֶ ‫וַּי‬ 4 ֵ‫ל‬ ‫ָּדנִ ּיֵאל‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ְס ֻת ִמים ־‬ ‫ֲת ִמים‬
ֻ ‫ַוח‬ ‫ַה ְּד ָב ִרים‬

And he said, Go thy way,
u·iamr lk dnial ki - sthmim u·chthmim e·dbrim Daniel: for the words [are]
and·he-is-saying go-you ! Daniel that ones-being-stopped-up and·ones-being-sealed the·words closed up and sealed till the
time of the end.
‫עַ ד‬ ‫עֵ ת ־‬ ‫ ֵקץ‬:

until era-of end

12:10 ‫ררּו‬
ֲ ‫יִ ְת ָּב‬ ‫ְויִ ְתלַ ְּבנּו‬ ‫ְויִ ּצָ ְרפּו‬

Many shall be purified,
ithbrru u·ithlbnu u·itzrphu and made white, and tried;
they-shall-purify-themselves and·they-shall-whiten-themselves and·they-shall-be-refined but the wicked shall do
wickedly: and none of the
‫ַר ִּבים‬ ‫ְו ִה ְר ִׁשיעּו‬ ‫ְרׁשָ ִעים‬ ‫ְול ֹא‬ ‫י ִָבינּו‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ְרׁשָ ִעים ־‬ wicked shall understand;
but the wise shall
rbim u·ershiou rshoim u·la ibinu kl - rshoim
understand.
many-ones and·they-care-wicked wicked-ones and·not they-shall-understand any-of wicked-ones

‫ְו ַה ַּמ ְׂש ִּכ ִלים‬ ‫י ִָבינּו‬ :

and·the·ones-cbeing-intelligent they-shall-understand

12:11 ‫ּומעֵ ת‬
ֵ ‫הּוסר‬
ַ ‫ַה ָּת ִמיד‬ ‫ְולָ ֵתת‬ ‫ִׁשּקּוץ‬ ‫ׁש ֵמם‬
ֹ

And from the time [that]
u·m·oth eusr e·thmid u·l·thth shqutz shmm the daily [sacrifice] shall be
and·from·era he-is-ctaken-away the·continually and·to·to-give-of abomination one-desolating taken away, and the
abomination that maketh
‫אֶ לֶ ף י ִָמים‬ ‫אתיִ ם‬
ַ ‫ָמ‬ ‫ְו ִת ְׁש ִעים‬ : desolate set up, [there shall
be] a thousand two hundred

and ninety days.

12:12 ‫ׁש ֵרי‬

ְ ַ‫א‬ ‫ַה ְמ ַחּכֶ ה‬ ‫יע‬
ַ ִ‫ְויַּג‬ ‫ְלי ִָמים‬ ‫אֶ לֶ ף‬ ‫ׁש‬9‫ְׁש‬ ‫ֵמאת‬ ‫ׁשים‬9
ִ ‫ְׁש‬

Blessed [is] he that
ashri e·mchke u·igio l·imim alph shlsh mauth shlshim waiteth, and cometh to the
happy ! the·one-mtarrying and·he-is-cattaining to·days thousand three-of hundreds thirty thousand three hundred and
five and thirty days.
‫ח ִמּׁשָ ה‬
ֲ ‫ַו‬ :

12:13 ‫ּתה‬
ָ ַ‫ְוא‬ 4 ֵ‫ל‬ ‫לַ ֵּקץ‬ ‫נּוח‬
ַ ‫ְו ָת‬ ‫עמֹד‬
ֲ ‫ְו ַת‬ ‫ְלג ָֹר ְל‬

But go thou thy way till
u·athe lk l·qtz u·thnuch u·thomd l·grl·k the end [be]: for thou shalt
and·you go-you ! to·the·end and·you-shall-rest and·you-shall-stand-up for·lot-of·you rest, and stand in thy lot at
the end of the days.
‫ְל ֵקץ‬ ‫ַהּי ִָמין‬ :
