Research Instrument

In this study, the researchers will use a pre-test and post-test to determine the
level of difficulty in the operation of integers among grade 7 students at Nasipit
National Vocational School. Pre-testing and post-testing are used to asses students’
progress. Pre-testing determines what students need to learn, post-testing, on the
other hand, shows what they have learned (Molly Hornbuckle, 2022).
The paired samples t-test will also be used in this study to gauge how well the
students performed in their classes on the operation of integers. Additionally, the
researchers will also consult the students' grade 7 math teachers for their grade
point average (GPA).

Data Gathering
This part of the study will show the procedures to be followed in order to have
a successful gathering of data from the grade 7 students, to determining level of
difficulty in operation of integers in mathematics among grade 7 students.
The researchers will send a letter to the grade 7 teachers. Inside the letter
will be a permission to conduct a study on the grade 7 students, about the operation
of integers in mathematics. After distributing the letters, the researchers will then
conduct an in-person pre-test and post-test about operation of integers to the
students in separate days, and will collect the scores of the students from each test.
The researchers will also gather the Grade Point Average (GPA) of the students in
mathematics from the grade 7 advisers.

Research Locale
The researchers will conduct the study in Nasipit National Vocational School,
located at Barangay 7, Bayview Hill, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. This institution offers
Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET).
