1. Define neutralisation reaction.
2. Give two examples of neutralisation reactions & write the word equations for the same in
order to identify & illustrate neutralisation reaction
3. Explain how antacids help to relieve from acidity.
4. Suggest remedies to deal with acidic & alkaline soil for healthy growth of plants.
5. Find solutions to treat ant stings & wasp stings.
6. Realise the need for treatment of factory wastes before releasing in to the water bodies

1. Story telling- A story of a naughty boy will be narrated with computer animations to arrive at
the topic.
2. Art integrated-A role play showing fighting between an acid & a base which destroys the
corrosive nature of both turning them non-corrosive
3. Demonstration cum discussion pedagogy-Demonstration of neutralisation reaction between
Hydrochloric acid & Sodium hydroxide followed by discussion.

or base & give it to other group to read it by using suitable indicators.
3. Individual Project-Find why tamarind/ lemon is used to clean copper vessels & silver
ornaments?
