 About Shridhar Gyan Sansthan

Shridhar Gyan Sansthan is a multi-skilled training centre affiliate by Sector Skill Councils,
located in Jharkhand. It is accredited by NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) and
MEPSC (Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skill Council) under Ministry of
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The Skill Development Centre
(SDC) is an initiative launched by the Government of India to provide vocational training and
skill development opportunities to India's youth. The aim of the initiative is to equip young
people with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce and contribute to India's
economic growth. The SDCs offer a range of courses in areas such as information technology,
hospitality, tourism, construction, and healthcare. The courses are designed to be practical and
hands-on, providing students with real-world experience and opportunities to develop
employability skills. The SDCs are run in partnership with industry and employer organizations
to ensure that the courses are relevant to the needs of the labor market. The initiative also
provides training and certification for trainers to improve the quality of vocational training
across India. Through the Skill Development Centre initiative, the Government of India aims
to empower young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's
competitive job market and contribute to India's economic growth.
 Detailed Objective

This AICTE Activity, is spread across 80 hours of implementation, which includes several
activities namely Basic English Grammar, Soft Skills, Etiquette, Basic Mathematics,
Awareness Campaign, New Technologies / Digital Literacy.

This project is carried out at Shridhar Gyan Sansthan, Ranchi which is a skill development
centre accredited by Skill India.

The activities that took place are:

1. Basic English Grammar

2. Soft Skills / Etiquette
3. Basic Mathematics
4. Awareness Campaign
5. Basics of MS Office
 Implementation of Activities
Basic English Grammar:
In this activity Basic English Grammar were taught. It refers to the fundamental rules and
principles that govern the construction of sentences and phrases in the English language. It
includes topics such as parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns,
prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections), sentence structure (subject, predicate, direct and
indirect objects, clauses, and phrases), verb tenses (past, present, and future), and punctuation
(periods, commas, semicolons, colons, and apostrophes).
Proficiency in basic English grammar is essential for effective communication, whether it is in
spoken or written form. It allows individuals to convey their thoughts and ideas clearly and
accurately, and to understand the messages of others. Mastery of basic English grammar is also
an essential skill for individuals who are learning English as a second language, as it provides
a foundation for more advanced language learning.
Soft Skills / Etiquette:
Soft skills and etiquette are essential for success in both personal and professional settings. Soft
skills refer to a person's ability to communicate, collaborate, and solve problems effectively.
Etiquette, on the other hand, refers to the set of social norms and customs that govern social
interactions, such as manners and behavior in social settings.
Some of the basic soft skills that are important for success include:
1. Communication: Effective communication is crucial in both personal and professional
settings. It involves the ability to listen actively, express ideas clearly, and understand the
perspectives of others.
2. Collaboration: Working effectively with others is an essential skill for success in any team-
oriented environment. This involves being able to work towards common goals, share ideas,
and resolve conflicts.
3. Problem-solving: The ability to identify and solve problems is a key skill for success in any
profession. This involves being able to analyze data, consider different perspectives, and
develop effective solutions.

4. Dress code: Dressing appropriately for different occasions is an important part of social

This involves using utensils correctly, chewing with your mouth closed, and avoiding offensive

Basic Mathematics:
In this activity Basic of Mathematics were taught. Basic mathematics is an essential skill set
that is used in everyday life, from calculating the cost of groceries to measuring a room's
dimensions. Arithmetic is the foundation of basic mathematics, and it involves the
fundamental operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Understanding
arithmetic is important for performing more complex mathematical calculations, such as
calculating percentages or solving equations. Other essential mathematical concepts include
geometry, algebra, and statistics, which are used in various fields like science, engineering,
finance, and many others. Having a strong foundation in basic mathematics is crucial for
success in both academic and professional settings, and it can help individuals to make
informed decisions and solve problems more effectively.
Awareness Campaign:
An awareness campaign on child education is a coordinated effort to raise public knowledge
and understanding about the importance of education for children. The goal of such a campaign

Microsoft Word is a word processing application that is used for creating and editing
