V. INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY 1
CLAIM OF FACT: In the nineteenth century Victorian households used to get together for an
hour or so in the evenings and listen to books being read aloud.
CLAIM OF VALUE: The youth always want to be updated and “in” with what is new and
famous among their friends and the cyber world so they have to check your Facebook,
Tweeter, Instagram, and all other different electronic accounts that require them to read.

CLAIM OF POLICY: Before using new gadgets and accessories, they also have to know how to
read and understand the “manual” or instructions to be able to fully utilize all its
specifications and features.

VI. INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT 1

CLAIM OF FACT: In the nineteenth century Victorian households used to get together for an
hour or so in the evenings and listen to books being read aloud.
EXPLANATION: IT IS A CLAIM OF FACT BECAUSE IT ASSERTS THAT AN EVENT HAS HAPPENED
IN THE PAST. IT IS ALSO BACKED BY FACTUAL EVIDENCES.

CLAIM OF VALUE: The youth always want to be updated and “in” with what is new and
famous among their friends and the cyber world so they have to check your Facebook,
Tweeter, Instagram, and all other different electronic accounts that require them to read.
EXPLANATION: IT IS A CLAIM OF VALUE BECAUSE IT MADE A GENERALIZATION ABOUT THE
YOUTH. IT MAKES JUDGEMENTS AND OPINIONS.

CLAIM OF POLICY: Before using new gadgets and accessories, they also have to know how to
read and understand the “manual” or instructions to be able to fully utilize all its
specifications and features.
EXPLANATION: IT IS A CLAIM OF POLICY BECAUSE IT STATES THAT WE MUST READ THE
MANUAL TO BE ABLE TO FULLY UTILIZE SOMETHING. IT ASSERTS THAT AN ACTION SHOULD/
MUST BE TAKEN FOR A BETTER RESULT.

X. ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS BELIEVE THAT LIFE WITH MODULAR-PRINTED DISTANCE LEARNING IS EASIER

THAN THE TRADITIONAL FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES.

THIS IS BECAUSE IT HAS FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. WITH MODULAR CLASSES, STUDENTS ARE

STILL AWAY FROM A PHYSICAL SCHOOL. IT ALLOWS THEM TO HAVE A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE,
LESSONS THEY CAN STUDY AT THEIR OWN PACE, AND FREEDOM ON HOW TO FINISH THEM
ALL.

IT ALSO COSTS LESS BECAUSE LIKE ONLINE CLASSES, MODULAR CLASS ELIMINATES THE
NEED TO TRAVEL TO SCHOOL, AND SO, IT SAVES YOU FROM SPENDING ON DAILY
TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, ATTIRE, AND OTHER THINGS. STUDENTS RECEIVE THE MODULES,
WHICH ARE ALREADY PRINTED BY THE SCHOOL.
