Hi everyone,

As professionals of BMET it is important to keep up with the latest technological developments. So, we are happy
announcing the opportunity to send two attendees from our department to the 5th Annual Biomedical Engineering and
Health Technology Showcase on the weekend of November 19th. The BEHTS is a network event where presentations take
place about biomedical technologies that have arisen at the University of Victoria. This event will be a great opportunity
for you to know more about new technology and to connect with new people and the best the expenses are covered. You
also will have two nights after the event with two paid tourist activities.

What are the benefits of attending the event?

 You have this amazing opportunity to attend a technologic event of this kind.
 As a professional you can connect with other specialists and big names in the industry.

Date of event

The event will last two nights and will take place on the weekend of November 19 th, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

Commitments after attending

You will have a month to prepare an oral presentation with your takeaways from the event for the rest BMET team.

Covered expenses and tourist activities

The cost for accommodation and conference fees are covered, including a wide budget for meals, two evening post-event
activities and two activities per person.

What to do to attend the event

Reply to this email by the end of next Monday. If more people want to attend the event, we will have a lucky draw to
choose the two of you. We will contact you with travel and accommodation details if you are selected.

Remember the BEHTS is an enormous opportunity to connect with important networks in the industry. Additionally, you
will have 2 nights after the event to go around the city. And lastly, you would have an entire month to prepare the
