Dear Students,

Greetings!

The College of Arts and Sciences will be holding a Digital Film Showing Activity (Online)
for students taking up General Education courses this semester on Dec. 1-3, 2022. This
co-curricular activity has the following objectives:
 Develop the critical skills of students by making them draw connections
between concepts learned in the classroom and the social realities
depicted in the films.
 Foster gender and culture sensitivity awareness from the portrayal of roles
and the interplay of characters.
 Apply values and lessons learned from class in discerning meanings from
the depicted narrative.
 Foster appreciation and support for the local film industry.

Three award winning films will be viewed by students for 5 days of unlimited viewing on
their preferred platforms such as laptops, cellphones, tablets, on their chosen time in
their convenient place.

To participate in the activity, please follow these instructions:

1. Each department will be assigned a corresponding number slot. The department

head or faculty assigned will distribute the slots to their teachers handling Art App, Fil2,
UBCV, US and TCW courses.

2. Teachers handling the following courses will collect from students P 220.00 (total
amount for the 3 films). Please ask students to add P 5.00 as transfer fee if you will ask
them to transfer in your Gcash.

3. Answer this google form once payment is made

4. Deadline of remittance is on Dec. 2, 2022.

5. The link and password to the film will be forwarded to your messenger on Dec. 3,
2022, once payment is remitted. Access to film is for 5-7 days.

6. Students will submit a Written Output ( reflection paper based on the films using
Filipino language ). The teacher will give the outline for the output.
7. Further discussion about the film viewing will be discussed next week in
synchronous class.

8. Reflection Paper will be part of your performance task in FIL 2.

9. For those who will not be joining the film viewing, an alternative activity will be
provided. Students who will not be joining will be asked to read 3 stories and answer the
same questions provided. The stories will be provided on Dec. 3.
