    Statement of the Problem

    The study determined the impacts of social media on academic performance and physical
    health of the STEM Students of Magsaysay Memorial College of Zambales, Incorporated. The
    outcome of the study served as a basis on how social media affects students’ learning and to their
    physical health.
    Specifically, this research study sought to answer the following questions:

    1. What is the profile of the STEM Students in terms of:

    1.1. Sex;

    1.2. Age;

    1.3. Body Mass Index; and

    1.4. Health Status?

    2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of social media on academic performance of
    the STEM Students?
    3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of social media on physical health of the
    STEM Students?
    4. What is the academic performance of STEM Students in the first semester school year
    2022-2023?
    5. Is there a significant difference on advantages and disadvantages of social media when
    grouped according to sex?
    6. Is there a significant difference on advantages and disadvantages of social media when
    grouped according to age?
    7. Is there a significant difference on advantages and disadvantages of social media when
    grouped according to body mass index?
