I am writing you today to express my interest in the assistant groundskeeper position for the El

Paso Chihuahuas. I am a student at Coastal Carolina University and will graduate in May 2025

with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sports Management.

As I mentioned in my resume I am majoring in Recreation and Sports Management and during

my time at Coastal Carolina I have been able to gather a strong understanding of how to manage

events and the financial side of the sports business. Along with this from my prior experience as

a groundskeeper I believe that have strong skills in the management side of operating and

running a gameday groundcrew as well as being able to keep up with keeping a top tier playing

surface. Finally, I have been involved with the Coastal Carolina Football team working as a

student equipment manager. I believe that this position has allowed me to further develop an

understanding of how the sports business world operates as well as helping me to develop strong

work habits in the classroom and field. Working this position has also allowed for me to develop

good time management skills.
