Dear Carrie Trexler,
I am writing to express my interest in the entry-level Social Media manager position with
University of Tennessee, which I heard about through the NCAA market. I am a sophomore at
Coastal Carolina University (CCU) and will graduate in December 2026 with a Bachelor of
Science in Recreation and Sport Management.
As you will note in my attached resume, I am majoring in Recreation and Sport Management
with a Minor in Business and have developed strong skills in this area over the past years. I am
currently taking rsm classes and plan to take many more throughout my time here at CCU. This
will help me gain more knowledge and wisdom about the sports industry. I also plan on taking
up an internship in the near future to better my understanding of sports management and earn
more experience in the field. Having an internship with a sports team will give me the
experience in the collegiate sports field that will be essential to a career in recreation and sport
management. Prior to this, I held a part-time position in customer service and sales. I worked at
Serendipity Bridal and Events where I provided excellent customer service and helped manage
the sales, the environment, and many other tasks as I was presented with them. Finally, I have
been actively involved with my club soccer team. Where I plan to continue to stay involved and
gain many more experiences as I forgo the rest of my college career. My combined academic,
extracurricular, and work experiences have enabled me to develop outstanding analytical,
interpersonal, financial, and leadership skills, which I believe would be an asset to becoming a
football social media manager for the University.
