Last week, we have finished the discussion of the essentials of cheerleading. What are the Possible answers:

This morning our topic is all about Dance choreographic devices or lengthening techniques in c. Tumblings
which you can use for your future dance activities like cheer dance and contemporary.
Here is a video presentation of dance. A Cheer dance from the youtube and while you are
watching please do observe its choreography and movements.

According to google.com, Choreography is the art of creating dance steps and Choreographer in
the one who creates dance steps. And in Science we have learned that the body is composed of
muscles which help for movement, so to choreograph a certain dance, choreographers must be
knowledgeable for the safety of his/her dancers. Student will jump and describe the proper way
Like for example when you jump, what is the proper way? of jumping. To land on the floor, knees should
be bend to avoid the shock and avoid injuries.
Even in cooking, there is a proper way to prepare and cook the ingredients to create a delicious
food.
In dance, we also needed proper combination and transition of movements to ensure the safety of
the dancers and to result in good dance performance.
Here in Iloilo, we have our Dinagyang Festival and we have a lot of Choreographers who
established their name because of their choreographic skills. Examples, we have Gerlin Francisco
of Tribu Ilonganon, Romel Flogen of tribu Panayanon and Errol Villalobos of Tribu Paghidaet.
How about here in Pavia, do you know some famous Choreographers? a. SPARK, LOVELY, DERICK etc.
The students will read the definition of each lengthening techniques and afterwards the teacher
will further explain the different terminologies.
