A REACTION PAPER ABOUT THE SHORT FILM: THE EVERLASTING

TEACHER

The 9-minute short film gives me a feeling of 90s cinematography from the clothes,
camera angle, and people’s clothes. The short film is about a teacher who supported his students
throughout their journey to becoming doctors. It is a story about how a teacher helped mold this
young man into the man he is now: a doctor. The teacher was also a doctor, but he chose to be a
teacher because he said that being a teacher is also similar to being a doctor since both help treat
others. A doctor helps patients by treating their pain while a teacher helps students by gaining
knowledge, which has been pasted into my mind after watching the film. This is an eye-opener
for those who say that being a teacher is easy and that people choose this course because they
think it’s the easiest. People frequently overlook the fact that all courses and jobs are difficult,
but if you are patient and hardworking, and if you enjoy what you do, you can achieve anything
because nothing is impossible.

The film is truly wonderful and very emotional. Even though the film’s time is limited,
that doesn’t stop me from expressing the emotional response that I felt while watching it. It's
truly satisfying how a person can help another person and how we never stop caring that even
though life has been messed up lately, we still care and love the world that has been the cause of
all the damages that we have felt as individuals living on earth.

News about people being unpleasant, terrible, and awful is widespread, and I won’t judge
because of all the happenings lately. It’s so hard to trust people, but after watching this film, I
feel like this short film is an example of a teacher being a hero. We all have different views of
what a hero should look like, but for all of us, it’s about people being good. So while we may
think that no one cares for us, let us put it in our minds that someone out there does care for us.
We may not see it, but someone is out there who loves us, will do anything for us, and cares for
us even when we don’t see it. All you have to do is look, and you’ll see the value of all the
people around you.
