Respiratory system ---
- Is responsible for gas exchange between the organisms and the
external environment.
Repiration ---
- Is the process of exchange of gases ( oxygen and carbon dioxide)
between the organism and the environment
Lungs ---
- Are the main organ of gas exchange in the human organism.
Gas exchange :
- From the blood into aveoli, carbon dioxide diffuses.
- From aveoli into the blood, oxygen diffuses.
- Oxygen binds reversibly with the red blood pigment, Hemoglobin
Process of respiration :
- Mechanical process by which air is rhythmically inspired (inhale) and
expired (exhale)
- The process of gas exchange
