The personnel of Community College of Manito Albay, underwent the Philippine Red Cross, Albay —

Legazpi City Chapter Emergency First Aid Training Course on March 20, 2023.

The training course was conducted under the supervision of Raymundo B. Peralta and Hilario B. Andes,
Red Cross Safety Services Training instructors.

"As the School Nurse, it is my duty and responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all the
students, teaching and non-teaching personnel in our institution. That is why the Health Service Unit
innitiated a One Day Emergency First Aid Training in CCM. Initiating this activity faced a lot of challenges
but because of my eagerness and determination to pursue this activity, it happened," said Mrs. Carmela
P. Dajac, the school nurse.

"The main purpose of conducting the 1st Emergency First Aid Training is to equiped the
participants with the basic first aid skills which is essential due to the following reasons:

1. Teachers and students with basic first aid knowledge are likely to be more alert and aware of
the surrounding risk especially during school face-to-face activities.

2. To have the Health Service Unit of CCM a team responder in the event of emergency situations
during school days."

Upon which the passer of the evaluating examination conducted and certified by Philippine Red Cross to
practice the above mentioned course is the following:

"I am proud to say that the First Emergency First Aid Training is trully a succesful activity. After the
training, I am happy that the first certified first aiders are doing their duties to respond immediately in
case of emergency situations during school days and I am looking forward to create a Redcross Youth
Organization in CCM," said Mrs. Dajac.
