Course Code: UID 101 Course Title: Unity & Collaboration Pre-requisite: NONE Credit Units 3
Course Description: A course on the history of Manila, the political, economic, and socio-cultural development and growth of the city and its people, designed to develop
pride and civic responsibility in the Manileño youth.

CLASSROOM POLICIES:

A. FACE TO FACE ATTENDANCE POLICIES:


1. Absences should not exceed 20% of the total time allotted for the subject. (4 hours for an 18 hour course).
2. A 15 minute late after the checking of attendance will be considered as an absence from the class.
B. FACE TO FACE ON MAKE-UP REQUIREMENTS:
1. Shall only be allowed under the ff. circumstances:
a. Illness or injury caused by an accident provided a medical certificate is presented
b. Death of an immediate family member and the death certificate should be presented
c. Natural calamities
2. An excuse letter should be presented together with the relevant certificate within 5 days after the due date of affected
activity/project.
3. Failing to accomplish #2 shall be equivalent to a failing grade in the activity, if not in the course as a whole.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
 Class Attendance
 Attendance to seminars, film showings, and other such activities
 Active participation in class discussions
 Quizzes, examinations, & other assessment activities
GRADING SYSTEM:

Midterm Grade: 60% class standing + 40% Midterm Examination Final Term Grade: 60% class standing + 40% Final
Examination Final Grade: 50% Midterm Grade + 50% Final Term Grade

1.00 = 98 – 100% 2.00 = 86 – 88%


1.25 = 95 – 97% 2.25 = 83 – 85% 3.00 = 75 – 76%
1.50 = 92 – 94% 2.50 = 80 – 82% 5.00 = Failed
1.75 = 89 – 91% 2.75 = 77 – 79% INC = Incomplete
