profession. Nursing caps originally served as an acknowledgment to the deaconesses who

Southeast Asian College, Inc.
No. 2 E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Quezon City

attended to and provide care for the ill and dying. It was emphasized by Florence

Nightingale wherein, she aimed to preserve the tradition of the nursing cap by providing

nurses with a distinctive appearance (Berg, 2022). The nursing cap represents the nurse's

mission, which is to "serve those in need." The cap also represents the profession's

timeless ideals of commitment, honesty, discernment, and faith. The stethoscope signifies

a nurse’s dedication to caring for their patients’ health as well as for them as individuals.

Also it stands for connection, which is a gateway to the soul. When caring, listening is

essential, and the stethoscope aids in the process. It includes dedication to listen to nurses

to their patients and be attentive at all times (Germa, 2017).

Proposed Legal Form of Business

The proposed business structure is a general partnership, which is a recognized legal form

in the business world. In a general partnership, two or more businesses or individuals

come together and collaborate to collectively share in all the assets, profits, and liabilities

of the partnership business. These individuals, known as partners, combine their

resources and expertise to establish a corporation or company (Indeed Editorial Team,

2022). Additionally, this framework can support efficient management and the

10
Southeast Asian College, Inc.
No. 2 E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Quezon City

establishment of transparent regulations and policies. Presented below are several

benefits of a general partnership:

● Easy to form.

● A stable business entity that doesn't require complex legal documents to

start.

● Has diversity within the coalition that leads to a successful business and

increased profits.

● Pass-through taxation which limits liability in income tax and holds

partners accountable for assets and liabilities.

● Equal rights distribution wherein this ensures shared responsibility and

clear job designations.

● General partnerships offer flexibility and efficient decision-making

processes compared to corporations and other business structures.

Moreover general partnership is formed when individuals, corporations, or trusts

come together to establish a long-term partnership. They create a general partnership

agreement that outlines the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of each partner. This

agreement also includes accepting unlimited liability, which means that their assets can

be seized to settle any outstanding business debts. In a general partnership, each partner is

individually responsible for their own taxes, as tax liabilities are not shared among the

partners. Our organization maintains its own structure, consisting primarily of the

following:

● CEO (1) - Responsible for managing and guiding the overall operations of the

company.

● Online Operations Manager (1) staff - Oversees online operations.

● Application Analyst (1) staff - Supervises the introduction of new software

applications to ensure a seamless process. It also involves addressing and

resolving any problems that may arise with business application software.

11
Southeast Asian College, Inc.
No. 2 E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Quezon City

● Finance Manager (1) staff - To evaluate the financial capabilities of the

organization, it is necessary to conduct an assessment of its capital, income, and

expenses. This analysis will provide insight into the organization's financial

capacity.

● Curriculum Developer (2) - Creates a suitable curriculum that delivers learning

objectives.

● Secretary (1) - Attends the needs of the curriculum developers and helps them in

preparing and delivering learning objectives.

● IT Service (1) - Responsible for designing, installation, and implementation of

new IT systems, server, and network.

● IT Support (1) staff - Responsible for overseeing the upkeep, connectivity, and

accessibility of the application.

● Customer Service (1) staff - To provide support to customers regarding various

inquiries and issues.

● Accounting Clerk (1) - Responsible for maintaining financial records, running

reports, and recording a wide range of transactions.
