    Ahmed Farouk Awad, student ID 120210287, observed an unknown spectrum using a spectrometer. The spectrometer uses diffraction gratings to determine the wavelength of diffracted light by measuring the angle of diffraction. This allows the spectrometer to easily identify molecules and molecular structures by determining characteristic wavelengths emitted when electrons change energy levels. Ahmed measured the angle of diffraction for at least 3 different colors and used the grating equation to calculate the wavelength of each.
