MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

MIDYEAR IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS

NARRATIVE REPORT
(DAY 2: February 2, 2022)

Aiming to ensure the continuity of quality learning in response to the New Normal in education, the In-
Service Training for Teachers of Iponan National High School was organized. With the leadership of the school
principal, Mrs. Maribeth T. Auman, the five-day seminar was held through the online platform - Google Meet
from January 31 to February 4, 2022. Last February 2, 2022, the second day of the INSET transpired.
Facilitated by Mathematics Department Chairman, Mrs. Aneilyn L. Vallespin, the afternoon started with an
opening prayer led by Mrs. Nerissa D. Driz, and the recapitulation of the morning session by Ms. Maria Buena
Amor Roa. The teachers shared the meaningful lessons that they have learned during the morning session of
the webinar. This was followed by a raffle draw and games facilitated by Mrs. Michelle T. Cagurangan. Exciting
prizes were given by some generous teacher-sponsor, Mrs. Vallespin. The afternoon session was very
informative. Two resource speakers shared their expertise about their assigned topics. The first speaker was
Mrs. Imee Lou A. Bagabaldo, school’s Guidance Counselor. Her topic is about Homeroom Guidance Midyear
Review. After the question and answer part, the second speaker was immediately introduced. Mr. Mark
Rockwell D. Labajan, discussed about Basic PC/ Laptop Maintenance.
Overall, the second day of the INSET was indeed fruitful and productive. Teachers have learned about
different concepts and technological innovations that they can use in dealing with the different modalities
offered. These lessons will truly help in gearing us, teachers, in addressing the challenges in the field of
education brought about by the COVID pandemic.
