Title of Activity: Second Virtual in-Service Training (VINSET)
Date: August 30 – September 3, 2021

Source of Fund: DepEd Sim Load Allowance
Objectives:
1. Capacitate teachers in using different online modality platforms that include

DepEd Learning Management System, DepEd Commons, DepEd Online (FB
Page, YouTube, ETULAY Tutorial Sessions), Deped TV, and DepEd Radio
2. Provide awareness and proper handling of technology tools in delivering
instruction in synchronous and asynchronous format
3. Learn and apply different components of cyber wellness (data privacy,
netiquette, and troubleshooting)
4. Teach emerging technology tools and applications to maximize the use of
cross-platform operating system
5. Inspire teachers through guided programs to innovate and upgrade their
skills in the use of different solutions and in acquaint international
certification under Microsoft, Adobe and Google.
Expected Number of Participants: All DepEd Teachers
Actual Number of Participants: Almost All DepEd Teachers and Some Private
School Teachers

NARRATIVE REPORT
1. Introduction/ Rational

2. Narration of Accomplishment in accordance with the Training/ Activity

Matrix/ Schedule
During the 1st Day, August 30, 2021 all of us watched the VIRTUAL In-
Service Training that was conducted by The DepEd Educational
Technology Unit (ETU) via FB LIVE; the program began with an
opening prayer, followed by the National Anthem and Welcome
Remarks by Sec. Leonor Magtolis-Briones, DepEd Secretary., Usec.
Diosdado M. San Antonio, Undersecretary for Curriculum and
Instruction.
The morning session first topic was Retooling of Teachers Capacity in
Using ICT and emerging Technologies. The speaker of the said topic
was Mark Anthony C. Sy. Followed by the second topic the Advantages
of Using Open Educational Resources (OERs) the speakers were
Sherwin O. Lomeda and Sara Jane Sarino. For the afternoon session
the first topic was Proper Etiquette in Sending E-mail and
Understanding Guidelines for Copyright, the speaker was Ariel A.
Delos Santos. The second topic was The Wisdom Behind Grammarly,
the speaker was Maria May N. Sevilla. The third topic was The
Creative Utilization of Canva for Students Performance Task, the
speaker was Aprellene B. Marquez. The first day ended with evaluation
and reminders.
August 31, 2021, 2nd Day of VINSET2.0 the training began with
an opening prayer followed by the welcome remarks of Dir. Leila Areola
(Director IV, BLD). For the morning session the first topic was
Techniques and Learning Delivery Style in Conducting Effective
Virtual Classes, the speaker was the Bureau of Learning Delivery. The
second topic was the Radio Based Instruction – Reaching Far-flung
Areas the speaker was Jann Wilbur Gale. The third topic was Child-

friendly Approaches in Empowering Para-teachers the speaker was

Bureau of Learning Delivery. In the afternoon session the first topic
was TV Based Instuction – Effective Utilization and Plotting to Weekly
Lesson Delivery the speaker was Salvador E. Manansala I. The second
topic was Creative Teaching and Teaching Creativity for
Distance/Remote Learning the speaker was Alvin A. Sy. The third
topic was Troubleshooting Equipment and Digital Device Awareness.
The training for the second day ended with the evaluation and
reminders.
September 1, 2021. 3rd Day of the training began with an opening
prayer followed by an inspirational message from Clarissa Segismundo
(Microsoft Philippines). In the morning session the first topic was
Interactive PowerPoint Plugins & Microsoft Windows Plugin for 21 st
Century teachers, the speakers were Ma. Remalyne Cruz and Glenn
Hurano. The second topic was Microsoft Office 365 for Productivity –
Mail Merge, the speaker was Marco Paolo Victoriano. The third topic
was Professional Development Program with Microsoft Education the
speaker was Mark Anthony F. Jamisal. In the afternoon session the
first topic was Game-Based Learning Using Minecraft Education
Edition, the speakers were Rubilyn Pastrano, Glenny Laping and
Glenah Taguibao. For the concurrent sessions I chose the Basic
Motion Graphics using Hitfilm Express for Instructional Video
Development and the speaker was Adriyel M. Santiago. The training
ended with evaluation and reminders.
September 2, 2021. 4th Day of the training began with an opening
prayer and followed by an inspirational message from Mary manzano
of Google Philippines. For the morning session the first topic was Be
Internet Awesome, the speakers were Rowena A. Reyes and Via Puyat.
The second topic was Google Educators Group and Professional
development Program, the speaker was Maam Santos-De Guzman.
The third topic was Positive Discipline and Psychological First Aid, the
speaker was John Jefferson Sevilla. In the afternoon session, the first
topic was Cyberbullying (Knowing Your Rights), the speaker was
Felisse Maranne Mandawe. The second topic was Moblie Apps
Development for Teachers; the speaker was Joy G. Salazar. The third
topic was Reorientation for School Property Custodian na dIT

Coordinators Regarding the DepEd Computerization Program policies

and guidelines, the speaker was the Technology Infrastructure
Division and Asset Management Division. The training ended with
evaluation and reminders.
September 3, 2021. 5th Day began with an opening prayer followed by

an inspirational message from Paolo Bediones (DepEd TV Mentor). In
the morning session the topic was The Use of DepEd Learning
Management System (DLMS), the speakers were Mark Anthony F.
Papa, Raymond B. Casama and Mark Anthony C. Sy. In the afternoon
session the first topic was Video Editing Applications 101, the speaker
was Neil Arvin Bautista. For the concurrent topic I chose Music
Production Using Noteflight for Instructional Video Development, the
speaker was Diosdado Parungao. The training ended with closing
remarks from Usec. Alain Del B. Pascua, Undersecretary for
Administration and Dir. Abram Y.C. Abanil (Director IV, ICTS).
