people.

ASHIRI SURATUL YASIN TODAJU FUN GBOGBO NSHE
Lahuu mu'haqqibaatum mim bayni yadayhi wa min khalifihee yahfazuunahuu min amri-llaai;

arooda- llaahu biqaomin suuu'han falaa marodda-llah; wa maa lahum min duunihii min-waalinn.
For each person there are successive angels in front of him and behind him, guarding him by
the command of Allah. Surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change
their own attitude and conduct. But if Allah intends punishment for a people, there is no way to
turn it back, and there won’t be any protector for them besides Him.
(541).
Zaalika bi an-na-llaaha lam yaku mughaiyiran nih-matan an'hamahaa 'alaa qaominn hat-taa
yughaiyiruu maa bihanfusihim wa an-na-llaaha same-un 'Aleem.
This is because ALLAH has never changed a favor which He has conferred upon a people until they
change their own condition; And because ALLAH is hearing, Knowing.
(542).
Wa laa yahsaban-na llazeena kafaruu sabaquu; in-nahum laa yuh'jizuun.
And let not those who disbelieve think that they shall come in first/winner; Surely they will not
escape.
(543).
If they intend to deceive you, then, Allah is all-sufficient for you. He is the One who supported
you with His help and with the believers.
(544).
O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts
while you know [the consequence].
(545).
O you who believe, be patient, compete with each other in patience, and guard your frontiers
and fear Allah, so that you may be successful.
(546).
Wa hin – yyureeeduuu an- yyakhda'huuka fa-inna hasbaka llaahu; Huwa llazeee aiyadaka
binasrihee wa bili-mu'mineen
But if they intend to deceive you – then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported
you with His help and with the believers.
(547).
Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who
were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
(548).
Man 'amila saaliham min zakarin ao hunsaa wa huwa mu'minun falanuh-yiyan-nahuu hayaotan
toyyibatan wa lanajizi yan-nnahum ajrohum bi ahsani maa kaanuu ya'maluun.
Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely
cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter]
according to the best of what they used to do.
(549).
Man- Amila soolihan falinafsihee wa man asaaa-'ha fa'halaihaa tsumma ilaa Rabbikum
turija'uun
Whoever does a good deed – it is for himself; and whoever does evil – it is against himself, then
to your Lord you will be returned.
(550).
So when you recite the Quran, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from
His mercy.
(551).
Innahuu laisa lahuu sulitoonun 'ala-llazeena aamanuu wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaluun
Surely, he has no authority/power over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.
(552).
His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who through him
associate others with Allah.
(553).
O Allah, make me better than what they think of me, and forgive me for what they
do not know about me, and do not take me to account for what they say about me.”
(554).
I seek refuge with Allah The supreme and with His Noble face, and
His erternal authority from the accursed Shaytaan.
(555).
Fa innahum 'aduwwwulleee illaa Rabbali 'aaalameena.
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds.
(556).
(558).
(559).
Uhiizu kumaa bikalimaati llaahi taam-maati min kulli Shaytooni, wa ham-

I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every
envious blameworthy eye.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray this Duah to seek protection for his children.
(560).
We have reached the morning and at this very time unto Allah belongs all sovereignty, and
all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without

Notes:-
The Young Men of the Cave That Slept for Over 300 Years (Story of the Cave from Surat Al-Kahf)
The Holy Quran shares a story about a group of young righteous men that that believed and
worshipped the One True God. They were living in a society that worshipped idols. Because this
group of young men refused to take their society’s idols as gods, their family and community
expelled them, and their powerful king wanted them killed. The young men tried to flee. They
fled to a cave in a Mountain without much wealth, food, and resources. They realized if they
find them, they would either kill them or force them to join their way of idol worship. As they
entered the Cave, while scared, made a dua prayer to Allah asking Him for His Mercy and to
make their affairs straight; to make it proper; to find a way out of the ordeal they are in.
The young men discussed how can their people worship idols without there being evidence that
their God. Allah the Almighty then gifted them one of his miracles causing them to fall into a
deep sleep in the Cave for 309 years along with their dog who sat in front of the entrance. They
were laying down with their eyes open and Allah caused them to turn from right to left in their
sleep. The sun helped aid and preserve their bodies as they sleep. When they woke up, they
discussed how long they slept. They stated perhaps we slept for a day or half a day, Allah
Knows. They were hungry, so they sent one of them to go buy some halal food without causing
any attention. They did not know it was 309 years later, so there are different people out there,
it’s a different society, and this society did not worship idols.
One of them went down to buy food wearing clothes worn 300 years ago. The young man from
the cave handed his currency coin to the store owner who saw the coin and he did not
recognize the coin since it’s now over 300 years later and they now use different types of coins.
The store owner said you must have found some treasure. The bishop of the city spoke with the
young man from the Cave who then brought the bishop to the rest of the young men in the
Cave. Then Allah caused the young men from the Cave to pass away a natural death. This was a
sign to the people that God’s Promise is Always True. The people then debated what they
should do with their bodies.
(693).
And you think/suppose them (to be) awake/alert, and they are asleep/lying down, and We turn
them/turn them around that of the right (side), and that of the left (side), and their dog (is)
spreading/extending its two arms (paws) at the cave/doorstep/mountain , if you saw/looked
on/over them you would have turned away from them escaping/fleeing/running away, and you
would have been filled (by) terror/fright from them.
(694).
In-na-llazeena aaamanuu wa 'amilus-saalihaati in-naa laa nudee'hu ajro man ahsana 'amalaa.
As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, of-course, We do not waste the reward of
those who are good in deeds.
Meaning:- As for those who believe and do good, We certainly never deny the reward of those
who are best in deeds.
(695).

(697).

Do not walk on the earth arrogantly; You cannot cleave the earth, nor attain the height of
mountains in stature.
Warning:-Allah forbids His servants to strut and walk in a boastful manner; Remember your
walking cannot penetrate the earth and you can’t even reach the height of a mountain.
(699).
Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allah, though their plot was not such as
to remove the mountains from their places.
Notes:-They devised every plot, which was fully known to Allah, but their plotting was not
enough to ˹even˺ overpower mountains ˹ to move.
(700).
Therefore do not think that ALLAH will fail to keep His promised to His Messengers. Allah is
indeed Almighty, capable of punishment.
Notes:-His promise to grant them victory in this life and on the Day when the Witnesses shall
come forth. Allah affirms that He is All-Able and that nothing He wills escapes His power and
none can resist Him. Allah affirms that He is Able to exact retribution from those who disbelieve
in Him and deny Him.
(701).
Notes:-We ordered, “O fire! Be cool and safe for Abraham! [ It is reported in a ḥadîth collected
by Bukhâri that Abraham (A.S) said, while being thrown into the fire, He now said:- “Allah ˹alone˺
is sufficient ˹as an aid˺ for us and ˹He˺ is the best Protector.
(702).
And they intended to do him an evil [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.
Notes:-They had devised an evil plan (against Prophet Abraham), but We turned it into failure."
(703).
And We rescued him and Lut to the land which We had blessed for the entire worlds.

And he who had the knowledge of the Book said: “I will bring it before the twinkling of an

(795).
He is the cleaver of the daybreak (from the dark of the night), and He has made the night for
rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning (of time). That is the decree of the All-Mighty, the
All-Knowing.
Meaning:- The light of the sun during the day and light of the moon at night.

(810).
Only Our Word to a thing when We intend it, is only that We say to it;"Be!" and it is.
Notes:- Allah does not need to repeat or confirm whatever He commands, because there is
nothing that can stop Him or oppose Him. He is the One, The Compelling, The Almighty, whose
power, mighty and dominion have subjected all things. None has the right to be worshipped

MaolaYa Salli Wa Salleem is a Qosida (hymn) Al-Burda Shareef, is an Arabic
Ode (poem) for honoring the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). Qasida
Burda means “Ode (poem) of the Mantle (Cloak)”
Muhammad Al-Busiri (R.A.) composed the Qosida Burda while suffering from
a stroke that had paralyzed half of his body.
He prayed to Allah (s.w.t.) to heal him, after that he fell asleep and in his
dream he recited this Qasida to the Holy Prophet Sayyidina Hadhrat
Muhammad Mustofa, then Prophet Muhammad touched the paralyzed part
of his body and threw his mantle (Burda) over him.
When he woke up, he was miraculously cured, the news spread far and wide.
Hence the qosida came to be called Qosida tu’l Burda and received
veneration among all Muslims as a qosida that was specially approved by the
beloved Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W).

(860).
First I thought I would have another go at making a spider web pattern – this time using
Geogebra. I’m going to use polar coordinates and the idea of complex numbers to help this time.
Here r will dictate the distance of the dot from the origin, p will dictate how many dots I will
have before I return to the starting point, and then I will vary n from 1 to p.
For example, if I have a distance of 1 from the origin then r = 1. I decide to have 10 dots in one
cycle, therefore p =10. This gives the following:
Now if I plot all these points as n varies from 1 to 10 I will get the following graph:
Here I joined up all the dots to their neighbors and also to the origin. If you know about complex
numbers you might notice that we can represent these points as complex numbers, and these are
the 10th roots of unity.
Following the same method I now change the distance from the origin (so r is changed). This
then will give me the following web:
Say we have the web above, distances in cm. Let’s say that the inner green circle is no use for
catching flies (this is where the spider wants to stay, and so flies will avoid this area). So
excluding this circle we have 2 additional concentric circle-like rings, and 10 radial lines from
the centre. This gives us a total of 20 areas (like the one shaded red).
Now let’s change our web into perfect circles. We still have 20 areas in which the spider aims to
catch their prey. Let’s say that a spider will only catch their prey if the area it flies into is such
that it is caught from all sides (i.e if the area is too large it may fly through the middle, or simply
touch one strand but be able to escape).
For this particular design – with 2 concentric circles outside the centre area, the question is how
many radial lines through the centre should the spider spin? If it spins too few radial lines then
its prey will not be caught, but if it spins too many then it will be wasting precious time (and
energy) spinning its web.
Next lets work out the average of one of these red areas (in cm squared). This will be:
Next let’s assume that our spider wants to catch a mosquito. Let’s say the mosquito is 3mm by
4mm with a 2D plan cross sectional area of 12 mm squared. And let’s say that the mosquito will
not be caught in the web unless the area of the red area is the same size or smaller than the
mosquito’s 2D plan cross sectional area. In this case we can see that the mosquito will escape:
So, let’s see how many radial lines the spider needs to spin if it only has 2 concentric rings
outside the “green zone”. Here n will represent the number of radial lines from the centre:
So, we can see that a spider wanting to catch a mosquito might need to make at least 105 radial
lines to catch its prey. This doesn’t seem to realistic. So, let’s modify our model to see how this
compares to real life.
Real life
This particular spiderweb has around 20 concentric circles (counting double strands) and around
38 radial lines. Let’s see how many radial lines we would predict from our model.
If we have a radius of around 6cm for this web (around the average for a spider web), and take
an inner radius of 1cm for simplicity, then with 20 concentric circles we would predict:
So a spider would need at least 46 radial lines to catch their prey. This is not too far away from
the real life case in this case of 38 radial lines.
This topic shows how a good investigation should progress. Start with a very simple case, make
lots of assumptions, then see what happens. If you reach a conclusion then go back and try to
make your initial case more complicated, or revisit your assumptions to see how realistic they
were.
I often see some beautiful spider webs near my house, similar to the one pictured above (picture
from here). They clearly have some sort of mathematical structure, so I decided to have a quick
go at creating my own.
Looking at the picture above there are 2 main parts, an inner spiral, then a structure of hanging
threads from lines which radiate from the centre.
Next, I can generate the spiral in the centre by using an Archimedean spiral, plotting the curve in
polar form as:
Which now gives:
Lastly, I want to have straight lines radiating from the centre going through the vertices of the
graphs. I can notice that at these vertices the gradient will be undefined (as we can’t define the
gradient at a sharp point). Therefore I can differentiate and look for when the gradient will be
undefined.
I can see that this will be undefined when the denominator is zero. Therefore:
I can notice that all the vertices are are on the same lines, therefore I can simply choose n =9 to
make my life easier, and then solve for t. I use the fact that sine is an odd function to help here.
Here p is an integer. I’ll then rearrange the first of these two equations for t to show how I can
then find my equations of the lines.
So, there we go, a quick go at making a spider web – quite a simplistic pattern, but still utilising
parametric equations, polar coordinates and also calculus and trigonometric equations.

THERE ARE EIGHT ANGELS THAT GOVERN THE LAWS OF ALLAH IN THE UNIVERSE
The Great Event will come to pass on that day. And the heaven will cleave asunder, and it will
become frail that day. And the Angels will be standing on the side thereof, and above them on
that day, EIGHT Angels bear the Throne (Arsh) of your Lord. Q69:16-18.
Those Angels represent manifestations of Divine Glory. The number (8) Eight has perhaps no
special significance, unless it is with reference to the shape of the Throne’’. The Oriental Throne
is often Octagonal and its bearer would be one on each corner. Or it is a square Throne, there
might be four bearers and four in relief at any given time, making eight in all.
ALLAH attributes of similitude which have been described here as the bearer of the Divine
Throne are:-
As Divine attributes are manifestations through Angels, therefore eight Angels are mentioned to
be the bearers of the Throne of ALLAH on that great day.
While describing ‘’Angels’’ in general, I find the following description of Angels intellectually
very informative. i.e In the present verse my thoughts went to four fundamental of forces we
read in Physics Class. Where we were told that the Physical make of the universe, in which we
live, consists of matter including Rock, Tree, Air, Water.
There are four known forces that interact with matter to define our universe as thought in
Physics. The four fundamental forces, as these are commonly known, have been identified in our
present Universe, such as:- Electromagnetism, Weak Nuclear Force, Strong Nuclear Force,
and Gravity or Gravitational Force. Each of the forces has different properties.
These four fundamental forces play central role in making the Universe what it is today,
withouth these forces, all matter in the Universe would fall apart and float away.
In some other verses of Qur’an, ALLAH also points out that every entity in this universe,
whether biological or physical, has been created in pairs, Q43:12, Q43:13, Q36:36.
By the command of Al-Mighty Allah, the reigns of all natural activities in the universe are given
to Malaaika. Those Malaaika are frequently busy bringing about the changes in the universe to
facilitate the basic needs for the betterment and nourishment of the humanity on Earth and
Heaven. Q79:6, Q35:2. Using the following Angels for instance:-
Details about the Angel Jibril come to us through Prophetic traditions. i.e Jibril would appeal to
the Prophet Muhammad to reveal verses of the Qur’an and ask him to repeat them. The Prophet
would then listen, repeat, and memorize the words of Allah.
On two occasions, The Prophet Muhammad saw Angel Jibril in his natural form. Q35;1; He
described Jibril as having six hundred (600) wings, that cover the sky from the earth to the
horizon. The Angel Jibril would often take on the shape or form of a man when appearing to the
Prophets. Sometimes, Angel Jibril would share revelation by voice only.
There was a story that a man once came to a gathering of the Prophet and his companions,
nobody knew who he was. He was extremely white with white clothing, and jet black hair. He
sat very close to the Prophet and questioned him in detail about Islam. When the Prophet
replied, the stranged man told the Prophet that he had answered correctly. It was only after he
left that the Prophet told his companions that this was the Angel Jibril who had came to question
and teach them about their faith.
Summary;- It’s believed that Angels can take the form of human beings when required to
communicate with the human world, for example, the Angel Jibril appeared in human form to:-
Mary the mother of Jesus, Prophet Isaa (A.S). And to the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) when
questioning him about his faith and message.
Angel Mikaheel:- In charge of weather, natural forces and provision for human needs.
Q2:285.
Angel Israfeel:- In charge of blowing the trumpet to signify the Day of judgement.
Q70:43.
Angel Azraheelu:- In charge of taking souls after death.Q32:11, Q61:62.
Angel Munkar and Nakir:- After death, these Angels will question souls in the grave
about their faith and deeds.
Angel Malik:- Guardian of Hell.
Angel Ridwan:- Guardian of Heaven
Angel Al- Kiram and Al-Katibun:- These are Angels who records the goog deeds and
other records the bad deeds. Deciding whether they are worth of paradise (Jannah) or
Hell(Jahannama).
Notes:- There are still many Angels, but not specifically needed to mention it on this prayer
book, due to the level of human being understanding.

FEAR ALLAH
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except
as Muslims {in submission to Him}. Q3: 102
I advise you and advise myself to fear Allah. Allah, Exalted be He, says: “O You
Who Believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from
all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him,
and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islam [as Muslims
(with complete submission to Allah)].” (Al ‘Imran: 102).

Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the book of Allah
[from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the
correct religion [i.e., way], so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the
disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the
righteous [who fear Him]. Q9:36.
(868).
In today’s society, success seems to have many “fathers”. Failure is an orphan. Nobody wants
to own it!
You might have heard people bragging: ‘Your success is because of me!‘You got promoted
because of my recommendation!‘ Without me, you’ll be nowhere!’
‘Your accomplishment is due to my favor! ‘No, it’s not because of him, its only because of me,
you achieved success!’!!
Saying “Wa Ma Taofeqii il-laah bil-laah” is awe inspiring. Imaan boasting, Heart solacing!
“Wa Ma Taofeeqii il-laah bil-laah” is one statement that highlights the reality of all realities:
My Success, My Prosperity, My inspiration, My Guidance, My Succor, My Strength, My
Guidance, My Accomplishment, My Consistence, My Reconciliation in my reform work, My
Welfare, My Adjustment, My Adaptation, compatibility, My Good fortune, My Happy
outcome; My Prosperity can come only and only through ALLAH; He is the Giver of Success
and Succor, And none else.
Saying “Wa Ma Taofeeqii il-laah bil-laah” not only brings solace to one’s heart, it makes a
Muslim emotionally and psychologically stronger. Those who listen to this statement would
also blessed in it; And would makes them think and therefore provide an opportunity to save
themselves from falling into the pitfalls created by Shaytaan.
Uttered by Prophet Shu’ayb, alayhi s-saalam, while addressing his nation, this statement is one
of the oft-repeated Islamic declarations especially by those dedicated in the field of da’wah,
teaching-learning-propagating.
He (Prophet Shu’ayb )said: O my people! have you considered if I have a clear proof from my
Lord and He has given me a goodly sustenance from Himself, and I do not desire that in
opposition to you I should betake myself to that which I forbid you: I desire nothing but reform
so far as I am able, and with none but Allah is the direction of my affair to a right issue; on Him
do I rely and to Him do I turn. Q11:88
The word Taofeeq comes from the Arabic root ‘’Waao’’ – ‘’Faaf’’ – ‘’Qaaf’’ which means:- To
match, to agree with, to occur at a time of something, to succeed, to be right, proper, suitable, fit,
appropriate, to be well-guarded, to adapt. To have success, to be successful, to inspire.
The
Arabic word Taofeeq is so rich that it carries myriad of meanings:-“Conformation,
adaptation, accommodation, balancing, adjustment, settlement, reconciliation, mediation,
peacemaking, success, succeeding, successfulness, happy outcome, good fortune,
prosperity”etc... Owing to the richness of the Arabic word “Taofeeq”,
I feel these translators have found difficulty while translating into English, and this is
evident in the following different translations:Attributing success to Allah must be the way
of a true Muslim. I only intend to
reform to be best of my ability and my success in my work can come only from Allah. May
Allah give us the much-needed Taofeek and Hidayah to live by His Guidance. Aameen.

TAWAKKUL: AN ACTION OF THE HEART.
Tawakkul lives in the heart of the believer. It is at the very core of our spiritual well-being and
practice. It provides the lens through which to form one’s outlook and actions to bring about the
best outcome. Allah commands us, “And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed,
Allah loves those who rely [upon Him.
The benefits of Tawakkul are many, Realize that you are not broken, abandoned, or forgotten,
but that Allah has actually given you exactly what you need
The question is, “How do I live Tawakkul? How do I implement it in my daily life to achieve its
benefits?” Tawakkul involves placing complete trust in Allah, above and beyond all others,
including oneself. Ask yourself: First, how well do I know Allah? Second, what is my
relationship with Him?
Allah answers the call of those who place their trust in Him. He repeatedly commands us in the
Qur’an to place our trust and reliance on Him. Hence, Tawakkul is also an act of submission to
the Master. It is the foundation and perfection of our belief and worship in the Oneness of Allah
(taohīd) by not relying on anyone else: “But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, ‘Sufficient
for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the
Great Throne. By submitting one’s heart and giving complete authority to Allah, the believer
gains the love of Allah: “Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
1. The first type of person is one who relies wholly on Allah, without personally asserting
any effort toward the end goal himself. The term used to describe this concept is tawakkul. This
is contradictory to tawakkul as understood from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
2. The second type of person takes the means to achieve the desired outcome, while relying
solely on those means, and not on Allah. Prophet (Nūḥ) (A.S) could not convince his own son to
seek protection in Allah from the flood, in the safety of the ark. His son defiantly said, “I will
seek protection on a mountain to protect me from the water. [Noah] said, “There is no protector
today from the decree of Allah, except for whom He gives mercy.” And the waves came between
them, and he was among the drowned.
This action is sinful because it goes against taohid , for one to rely on other than Allah, and
therefore, it contradicts Tawakkul. This is likened to one who seeks the recommended or
necessary medical treatment for an ailment. However, he places his trust solely on the means of
the medicine and the doctor; But does not acknowledge or trust in Allah as the One who
ultimately provides the cure through those very means, giving them their effectiveness and
potency.
3. The third group of people are those who take the necessary means to achieving the
desired outcome and place their trust in Allah to grant them success. This is the correct
understanding of Tawakkul as taught and practiced by the Prophet and every prophet before
him. One might wonder why Maryam was instructed to shake the date palm as she was in the
throes of giving birth. “And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you
ripe, fresh dates. So eat and drink and be content. It was, no doubt, her reliance on Allah and His
divine wisdom in directing her to that action that provided her with the necessary means to give
her ease in her time of difficulty.
When faced with the imminent danger of migrating to Medina (hijrah), the Prophet (S.A.W)
placed his complete trust in Allah to guide him to safety. He then meticulously carried out
protective measures to achieve it. Along with his companion, Abū Bakr, he escaped from
Makkah, taking a guide with them, and choosing an alternate route to avoid capture. They made
arrangements for sufficient provision and sought refuge in a cave until it was safe to resume the
journey to Medina.

(872).
FACTORS WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO HUMAN FAILURE IN LIFE
(A). The biggest problem of unsuccessful people are:- They want to succeed but
they want that success on a silver platter; They want it free of cost. They want it
without doing anything, they want it under their comfort zone, and these kinds of
factors won’t let them to become successful.
(B). Successful people get success because they work hard for it, they never ask for
success, they work for it, they get it because they deserve it, they sacrifice a lot for
that success. Hence if you are willing to make necessary sacrifices for success then
you will move towards the success journey.
(C). Put more efforts and do necessary sacrifice and never have quit attitude;
Remember that success needs sacrifice and that simply means:- Life demands
something in return in order to be successful in life and the hereafter.
